View Full Version : Where is it at????
wdsoccer 10-18-2006, 09:23 PM I am thinking about getting Nitrous but want to know where everyone has the bottle at? Kenny at cobalt-addiction said that i could make a false panel between the rear seat and the trunk. Let me know where you guys have nitrous installed. Thanks
wdsoccer 10-18-2006, 10:13 PM common guys i know there are people on here with nitrous. where do yall have the bottle at?
IonNinja 10-18-2006, 10:33 PM in the trunk on the passenger side
nice and creative
Belto 10-18-2006, 10:36 PM If you really want it "undercover" what you can do is remove the spair tire and put the bottle there,, thats what a friend of mine did...
after that you can cover it with the rear rug...
wdsoccer 10-19-2006, 01:13 PM so only 2 people have nitrous in their cars?
in the trunk on the passenger side
nice and creative

bingo haha, I suggest to people the passenger side so you can read the bottle gauge from the driver's seat.
there are ways to hide the system without going with the spare tire well (I personally don't care for that idea, no way to see your gauge either on the bottle)
99% of the people who I have shown my car too have seen my entire kit and don't even know it's there

damn dude. haha i wish i lived closer to you I would ask for your help installing. You can't even tell at all your right. But i was thinking about running a bottle gauge to my pillar pod. seems easy enough to do right? haha. But yeah im waiting on 2 more peices for my kit after that its going in. Think I may just run a 50 shot for awhile.
slowion2 10-20-2006, 03:32 PM well keep in mind, you're gong to have to waste the amount of nitrous that fills that line up to get a pressure reading to the gauge, so keep that in mind. I'm planning to install a gauge up by my field of vision but the line will be very short because of how I'm doing this. main reason is I want to be able to have the bottle open with the seats up and still get a pressure reading. also, one of the giveaways that some people picked up on here is that I will turn my dome light on and look behind me before I run the system. if I do this I can modulate the heater and monitor pressure without any of that. yes, I am that far in the sleeper game ;)
what pieces are left to come in? glad to see someone running a Dynotune kit, my buddy with a 12 second automatic sc2 used to talk about their stuff a lot, great bunch of guys over there.
hit me up on AIM if you need anything, I'm on there as schizzo941. I don't browse this forum all that much anymore.
splink 10-20-2006, 03:34 PM mine is tucked cleverly within my passenger seat, to use it i push the hazard lights and a little button comes out.......ohh wait, that wasnt my car
slowion2 10-20-2006, 03:41 PM I Never Narced On Nobody!
Lol
splink 10-20-2006, 03:44 PM you still owe me a ten second car
I said 10 second car not 10 minute car lol.
But cool thanks ill hit you up sometime. Im still waiting on the purge kit and the window switch. I dunno witch one to get I think the one is MSD or MSG lol i forget off the top of my head. Its either that one or the dynotune one. and also will i still loose the nitrous if its an electrical gauge?
YellowLT 10-20-2006, 03:58 PM Yours a Dry or Wet kit.
Mines a wet. lol i was told by many many people that dry kits = very bad. haha
slowion2 10-20-2006, 04:28 PM not bad but...eh...on this engine go with wet, 'nuff said.
it's an MSD digital RPM window switch. part number 8969. great part, I run one as well.

its a nice location for the ions.
SLowion: You know i gotta do it..... wot switch :thumbsdow .
jk i get pissed that i threw away my stock intake everytime i see yours.
slowion2 10-20-2006, 08:52 PM I'm debating on painting it black or something but nobody really notices it anyway.
most people are just shocked a saturn had the balls to open the hood, or that they just lost to one.

yeah there probably like wtf a sedan haha. and honestly looking under the hood i bet must people would just say umm why does that stock sedan have its hood open lol. but honostly thats awesome. I wanna get mine to be all hidden like that. How long did it take you to run all that?
slowion2 10-21-2006, 10:53 AM actually it's a coupe but pretty much same effect
took me a while to plan everything out over time. everything is hidden from the bottle to the solenoids to the hoses to the fogger to the purge button wired into my fog light switch (for my non-existant fog lights). initial install I did probably over the course of 3-6 months because of not having time finishing college and the fabbing of certain parts I needed. wasn't hidden for a few months after I finished the operational install, I originally had a dressy plate and shit for nopinationals but shortly there after I said fuck this noise, time to go stealth. nobody ever sees it coming either, even the guys who know me get shocked because it doesn't register at first.

ohhh haha for some reason i thought you had a sedan. sorry about that lol guess the coupe in your sig should of given that away lol
but thats crazy that its hidden in your fog lamp button. veryyy clever. I now see this could take me ahwile to do. haha. And ahve you by chance ran yours down a 1/4 mile yet? Just wondering what numbers you are runnig. Also haha what shot are you running 50 or 75?
