Florida 76 10-19-2006, 04:05 PM wow you could have bought the stage 2 or a NOS kit for that price
.

he has the 2.4 though... and some people think n20 is a waste, because as soon as the bottle runs out you're back to square one...
slvrbalt 10-19-2006, 05:01 PM nitrous kinda sux the turbo project is the way to go and this is vital for it.
TurboTechRacing 10-19-2006, 05:07 PM Sweet, that is going to look really good!
oaklandmr 10-19-2006, 08:15 PM Thats the exact same setup i'm thinkin about going with other than an oil pressure instead of boost/vac gauge. Cant wait to see the installed pics.
arsenal21 10-19-2006, 08:54 PM I hope there's big plans for that 2.4.
Nickc84 10-19-2006, 09:02 PM arsenal ...Why is that? what if his plans are done after that? will it make your world less stable ....lol :thumbsdow u see 1.7 civics with all there gauges showing with no boost so why cant he have it on his ss ...im not sayin hes not planning on other things for his car but u make it sound like hes obligated to turbo cus he put gauges in his car......another jelouse 2.0 owner just my opinion on this one ( all the ss/sc owners kiss each others asses on here about there mods but any model underneath isent worrthy of modificarions...not even a 2.4 ss ...pretty sad

wow you sound like a pissed non 2.0 owner...just what we need on here!
Nickc84 10-19-2006, 09:09 PM no im just getting tierd of the comments....it seems like anything a 2.2 or 2.4 owner does is going to be pissed on for the fact theres a higher model. its pretty funny tho u can all talk the trash in here but when i see u on the city roads in your lil ss supercharged with your skinny little beaty head pokin out the window i kinda laugh and think to myself this is what im missing? LoL ill wait on that hahaha
HackAbuse 10-19-2006, 09:11 PM Trans temp, hmmm I like the sound of that, where would you locate the temp sensor?
patathSS 10-19-2006, 09:18 PM no im just getting tierd of the comments....it seems like anything a 2.2 or 2.4 owner does is going to be pissed on for the fact theres a higher model. its pretty funny tho u can all talk the trash in here but when i see u on the city roads in your lil ss supercharged with your skinny little beaty head pokin out the window i kinda laugh and think to myself this is what im missing? And everyone bitches about the 2.0L guys being close minded. You're an idiot. He said he hopes there are big things for it. Big fucking deal. Grow up. I think it would be retarded to have a boost gauge if you never were going to boost the car.
Celicacobalt, what are you going to do with the loose end of the vac hose? Are they just going to close it off and leave it behind the pillar?
Nickc84 10-19-2006, 09:22 PM Please buddy you can tell the comment was geard to be a smart ass comment. Plain and simple thats what it was. people with a less IQ like yourself would just read it and say its a compliment but it sounds like bs to me. Typical smart ass remark from a 2.0 owner
Brandon97Z 10-19-2006, 09:29 PM arsenal ...Why is that? what if his plans are done after that? will it make your world less stable ....lol :thumbsdow u see 1.7 civics with all there gauges showing with no boost so why cant he have it on his ss ...im not sayin hes not planning on other things for his car but u make it sound like hes obligated to turbo cus he put gauges in his car......another jelouse 2.0 owner just my opinion on this one ( all the ss/sc owners kiss each others asses on here about there mods but any model underneath isent worrthy of modificarions...not even a 2.4 ss ...pretty sad
Because if he isn't planning big things and just staying with bolt-ons the gauges are kinda pointless especially the boost gauge. But i do know he is planning on turboing the thing once hahn gets their kit for the autos. Stop reading into things so much.
btw. nice setup of gauges will def help keep an eye on things once boosted.
patathSS 10-19-2006, 09:31 PM I said I don't give a shit why he said it. If your reading comprehension was above that of a first grader you could see that no where did I say that his comment was meant as a compliment. If I was you, I wouldn't be trying to put down someone else's IQ. Its the pot calling the kettle black.
Explain to me the point of a boost gauge in a nonboosted car. I understand what celicacobalt is doing because he is prepping for his turbo kit by buying the parts that he can.
celicacobalt 10-19-2006, 11:25 PM ok guys, calm down. Yes, I am patiently waiting on hahn Racecraft to release their automatic 2.4 turbo kit. I will probably be the 1st customer of the auto kit. Ive had plans to do this before i even bought the cobalt and i figure i have all this money sitting here waiting for the kit i might as well start buying something i need before hand and do some logging on what everythings runnning at pre turbo so i can see the difference after turbo. im not sure whats gonna happen with the boost gauge/vacuum but ill ask my mechanic thats doing this at asap performance. i know they said they have to drill into the tranny pan for the sensor and i think just a t fitting for the oil pressure.
Dragonsfire12345 10-20-2006, 01:32 AM its gonna be sweet I plan on getting the same gauges as well.
06black 10-20-2006, 02:33 AM no im just getting tierd of the comments....it seems like anything a 2.2 or 2.4 owner does is going to be pissed on for the fact theres a higher model. its pretty funny tho u can all talk the trash in here but when i see u on the city roads in your lil ss supercharged with your skinny little beaty head pokin out the window i kinda laugh and think to myself this is what im missing? lol...thats great
son if you ever see me the last thing your gonna think is "skinny little beaty head"
i'd kick the shit outta people like you...at least when they act like you.
ask dam neer any of the fast guys round here or at least people from michigan and not only do they prob know me but they'd back up that fact.

Wow do you have a huge case of little man syndrome. Calm down man, yes some SS/SC guys are dicks, so aren't some 2.4 guys. You would get along much better with everyone if you didn't walk around with a chip on your shoulder.
Celicacobalt: Good luck with everything. I hope you get that turbo real soon and it works out great for you.
celicacobalt 10-20-2006, 12:07 PM thanks for all the positive comments guys, getting a nice natuarally aspirated car and making it a turbo beast has been somewhat of a big dream of mine for the last 5 years and im finally getting down to it and its very exciting for me. updates to come...
zinner 10-20-2006, 03:17 PM he has the 2.4 though... and some people think n20 is a waste, because as soon as the bottle runs out you're back to square one...
You can get the bottle filled back up :guns:
patathSS 01-16-2007, 08:54 PM Do you have the gauges in now celicacobalt? I'd like to see what they look like. I am waiting on my AEM wideband and then I am going to have a triple gauge setup.
patathSS 01-16-2007, 08:55 PM celicacobalt, did you get the gauges in? I'd like to see what they look like/
panblackrose 01-16-2007, 10:05 PM I do have to say it is ALOT for such a simple gauge install. I did mine in an hour tops and its looks proffessional as hell, no wires at all and I have a switch to turn them on and off next to my shifter. That even includes hooking up an AFR gauge. I have the Autometer Cobalt Gauges (AFR, Volt, EGT)... and yes I plan on going turbo soon.
Florida 76 01-16-2007, 10:29 PM aahhh,,, attack of an old post.. but now the aeroforse interseptor gauge is here for the 2.2 you should get of those
an0malous 01-16-2007, 10:30 PM dear nick
gee another thread where 2.0s get ripped on for this apparent "bias" that doesnt exist.
way to go. your a fucking idiot.
Stop worrying that your penis is somehow smaller because you didnt buy the ss/sc
its not.
Or in your case....maybe it is and thats why your acting like an emotional 14 year old chick who just got boned and he wont return your phonecalls.
OP: gauges look good man. show us some pics when its all done :)
mike25 01-16-2007, 10:55 PM ehy how about you all stop actin like fuckin kids....if you know the comment is gonna be taken the wrong way then dont fuckin type it...holla crapolla u damn loosers........o and by the way celicacobalt im goin the same route on those gauges and they are nice lookin...
IonNinja 01-16-2007, 11:12 PM wow I hope those are some grade A fuckin gauges cuz u just spent about $800 total on em!
panblackrose 01-17-2007, 02:11 PM 800?!?!?! What gauges are you buying??? I spent MAYBE 200 on gauges AND gauge pod... Gotta love ebay
Ljavy17 01-17-2007, 02:14 PM Over 800 dlls in gauges installed and how much power do you expect from them.
splink 01-17-2007, 02:19 PM Over 800 dlls in gauges installed and how much power do you expect from them.

blown06 01-17-2007, 02:24 PM for $800 i would have gone with defi gauges instead i.m.o, anyways to the orginal poster do you have any pics of the install, since this thread was raised from the dead.

Defi is the name of a gauge manufacturer. Quality stuff.

When you have more money than god, these gauges are a nice choice for a cool looking setup. I personally would love them, but can't justify the price.

to each his own i guess... i don't know why someone would spend 1500 on rims... but plenty of people do..
blown06 01-17-2007, 02:52 PM ^^^ agreed they are awesome plus is has memory in them since it has a main control system so if you racing and you done look at your gauges you can replay the run to see what was goning on.... a guy i know can get them for me for $600
Edubs 01-17-2007, 03:11 PM The Blue Racer series are stand alone gauges. They don't use the Defi Control system that standard Defi gauges use. Just FYI...
blown06 01-17-2007, 03:25 PM Yeah I know that I just cant remember the series name though, i know I they have the red needle with the ultra whitle light, a buddy of mine has them in his 240/silvia conversion
mike25 01-17-2007, 04:10 PM hey panblack rose can u post up some pics of your gauge setup up....some better quality daytime/ night time pics and a pic of that switch by your shifter?
***o and might the reason that your gauges were so chepa be that fact that they are short sweep elcetric or mechanic?***
***and i hate to break it to you but that looks like the cheapie a/f gauge...i dobt believe it is a true wideband***

CTORANGESC 01-18-2007, 11:11 AM What ^^^^^ said
panblackrose 01-19-2007, 08:37 AM They are full sweep electric, and standalone units. I know the AFR is a cheap one, I plan on upgrading later, but right now it will do. I didn't pay for that one anyway. Plus it was only $50 or so. I plan on switching once I put the turbo in. The boost gauge will replace the AFR gauge and the AFR, Oil press. , and I think Trans Temp. will be in a custom set-up in the center dash or that area at least. I've got friends that do custom work, plus I can do my own fiberglass.
Forgot to add that the AFR doesn't lit up except for the LEDs sweeping. I think it might be broken because I checked all of the connections. Anyone notice how shitty of an electrical system we have? Any info, please pm me, I want to try and remedy that.
