How many have topped out the new '07 SS? automatic what does it top out at?

 

If I had to guess, being it's an automatic I would say it's electronically limited around 118. I maybe off on that but that's my guess.

 

I've had mine up to 130 and it was still climbing but I was getting near my off ramp so I got out of it.

I've heard 140 and govenor kicks in but thats only wat I've heard.

 

YEAH...About 120 here..but I ran out of road.....we will see this summer on the drive to FL.

 

It tops out at LUDACRISSPEED, right after plaid.

 

I thought plaid came after ludacriss speed.

Intake, Exhaust, plus it gets baby Full Synthetic Iridium Plugs, Premium Gas. That white One had Headers and was pulling on my I was pissed cause now i need more parts. LOL

Has nothing to do with being auto...it has a speed limiter based on the rating of your tires.

 

Well there was about 10 of us just playing around on the highway and then this stupid bitch
cut over right on me. I mashed the brakes and dove to the right sholder and missed her.
I know it was my stupidity for going that fast but she never even looked over till I passed her on the sholder!

I'm not sure if it cuts off at 135 or 140 or where if it does at all. But if it does you'd need to get the car tuned with HP Tuners to get rid of it.

Just BE CAREFUL! Even when everything looks good something like the butch in the blue Hyundia can happen.

 

lol, wel she was in a hyundai, i dont **** with rice rockets, its all about american, cuz even though they may sometimes be shitty on gas they still dont fall apart as easy as foreign cars do, and dont cost hella money if something does happen to the car

2.4 SS have a governor that is set at 130, w/o it I have read somewhere on the forums 155 is the top speed

 

i got mine to 125 and had plenty more to go

Excellant thread I was just going to ask this question. We have had our 06 with 2,000 miles on the clock to 130 mph twice and she is just starting to slow her pace a bit.

Has anyone had there's past 130? Just wondering how top end fast these cars are?

 

Is this strickly for autos? A buddy of mine with Stg5 SS/SC broke 160.
