The GM performance manifold is extrude honed. GM sends them to the company 9or maybe GM has the equipment), has the work done, and then sells them as the performance part. Have a look here: http://www.extrudehone.com/auto-oem.html Because it enlarges and smooths the entire length of the header, there is no way that can be done with a grinder.
