CobaltSS.net mentioned in SCC Magazine
Hey guys,
My name is Richard from CobaltSS.net's partner site at CaliberSRT4.net. I searched the forums first before posting but I haven't seen it mentioned yet.
I just picked up the December issue of Sport Compact Car. I wanted to let you guys know that CobaltSS.net was mentioned in the GotMail? section on page 132. A member of CobaltSS.net, Steve Sharpe, shot over the following email, which was published!
Domestic Dispute
I will get straight to the point: Cobalt SS.
Where is it? You turbocharge a discontinued car as a new project (RSX Type-S) and bring back the MR2. I bought my Cobalt SS in April, excited with the fact that it was only a matter of time before you told me how to make it stupid-fast.
No. Issue after issue, I see ramblings about the new Skyline or Mazdaspeed3. I am a member of www.cobaltss.net, and not the only one who is wishing you guys would pay attention to the Cobalt. It runs with or beats every car in its class, both models. Give it a tuning chance.
PS. Love the reviews of the new K-cars and have been an Evo fan at heart forever. The October issue with the Lancer Ralliart shots made me so excited.

I thought it was pretty cool, just wanted to share this information with everyone.

thats pretty darn nice as far as i am concerned. its bout time some recognition is given for the SS for the car that it is. Now just gotta get them to make it stupid fast and tell us how... or atleast havin a car or two in there would open some more eyes to the SS and hopefully more aftermarket companies for performance parts. Or atleast that would be my hope

hey even if it was longer the point is they got it and they put it in that stupid magazine. Now they just gotta do somethin with it... i mean seriously who would put something in that magazine and then not atleast do something with it. what would be the point in putting it in there then???
Well we will just have to wait and see...I mean it would make sense that they would do something on a Cobalt, any one of them at least...I need this issue though...lol I have my 15 minutes of fame:two thumbs:
yeah, i remember seeing post that when he sent it in. its cool that was one that they selected for the magazine.... maybe theyll act on it.

As far as not getting any recognition, I kinda like it. I constantly get asked in parking lots and at the gas station, "what is that?", "Is that turbocharged?". My favorite was "That thing looks fast, is it?". I've also recieved lots of compliments. I don't need to read about it in magazines to know I've got a nice ride. This site IMO has a plethora of good info and supporting vendors to make my car "stupid fast".
Im sure everyone has seen it, but I think it was a super street from like september that had a small article on the ss/sc.... it was about the "how to do stage 2".... I think it was the mag with the yellow honda fit or some crap on the cover... i can look and see if anyone is interested.
