dstillion's Tuned Numbers!!!

Sorry for beating you to the punch Mike. If you want, you can add your comments/reviews after this post. I just wanted to get the graphs online before I went out. I forgot to get an overlay compared to his Dyno Day Results, which was with a GM Stage 2 Flash. A note for those using GM's flash. Not only is the air fuel all over the place, they are WAY off the Injector IFR tables...we have fixed this with our tuning

2.85 ZZP Pulley
NGK Plugs
JBP Cold Air
Cobalt Addition Downpipe
GMPP Exhaust
GMPP Exhaust Manifold
Custom Tuned by Paul Meister

We picked up 11whp and 8wtq over the GM Stage 2 Flash. Nothing else was done except tuning.
11.5 AFR

BIG GAINS WITH JUST TUNING :-)

Sorry I could not have gotten the air fuel any smoother. I could have shrunk the scale like on a dynojet

Those are some nice #'s for that setup

In your opinion...how much more useful do you see in buying the GM exhaust over the stock setup?

Thank You

LOTS is changed between stock and even a GM Performance Flash such as the stage 2 compared to our tuning. We use 100% different methods than GM for tuning as well as most tuners. This is how we achieve perfect drivability, reliability and such great numbers

The catback and downpipe combo is probally good for at least 5+whp and it sounds nice

Ask Mike (dstillion) how much he picked up when he put the exhaust on..I think it was 5-10whp

Ask me anything about the data, I will give up all info.

20-21* timing.
11.5 AFR
IAT2 Temps were around 120-130

I can estimate at least 10whp over GM Tunes, with ANY pulley size.

Isnt that running rich? Nice tq number, but someone told me once the ideal a/f ratio should be 12.5:1.... May have been wrong, i don tknow

12.5 is optimal AFR for a Naturally Aspirated vehicle. 11-12 (12 being MAX) for a Blower or Turbo car.

This is 11.5, and is on the richer side of 11-12, because it is running bigger boost. Yes, this is more power to be had (on the dyno) but nothing worth walking the edge for. No need going right on the edge of 12.0 with about 16psi

But you still don't recommend my boost levels tuned on pump gas correct? From what you saw is a tune for a 2.7 even possible to make safe? The A/F was a bit frightening.

2.85 is going to be the MAX for 42lb injectors and I would not really run much more boost on pump gas.

If you want 19-20psi on pump gas, I would run a 11.0AFR, a bit less timing. For the track, use race gas with 11.5-12.0 AFR and full advance. I will ask you to sign a waiver to let it be know that it was not really suggested for pump gas and any engine failure was not cause by tuning. Everyone knows how the internet is....tuner always gets blamed

Your friend will make power by adding fuel to his tune, and will save his motor. 12.0 is the absolut MAX air fuel for a blown or turbo gasoline engine

Products are coming soon. Heat Exchanger and Pulleys on the way

hey guys, just got back from crusing, the car is much smoother, no jerkyness, runs cooler, and power is evident, the boyz at steeda really helped me out and paul is a wizard with hpt, i reccomend his tuning skill for anyone that wants a SAFE reliable tune with actual gains in horsepower and torque, you wont be dissapointed.
paul has literally been busting his butt with his test cobalt, and now mine, thanks again to paul and the boyz at steeda for a great job and lookinf forward to doin alot more bussiness with them, stay tuned.

Nice numbers!! that's pretty much same as me.

My Q's:
What RPM did injectors hit 100% duty?
What's the VE flow top end?

Also a little heads up, the car follows a different route on the timing table on the street due to the increase in flow. So I would recommend some street tuning.
