Mazda's at sea...warn people buying a Mazda....

Around the end of July, a cargo ship called the Cougar Ace tipped on its side....it was carrying 4700 Mazdas at the time...60% of them were Mazda 3's, don't know if any Mazdaspeed 3's were in the mix...

Wasn't there a ship that sank near England that had million's of dollars worth of Landrover's and BMW's? I know I saw pictures of it.

It didn't sink, it was salvaged and uprighted. Mazda is going to sell the vehicles but not as new.

There were no Mazdaspeed 3 vehicles aboard, so I really could care less. Unless Mazda tries to pass the loss on to all of their customers, then, I would be pissed.

they won't sell them as they can be sued if anything goes wrong with them. A trainload of Pontiac GTOs derailed with 200 some odd GTOS on it, only a few were actually damaged but they were all crushed because if any were sold and something went wrong GM could have been sued for negligence. Mazda will do the same thing.

relax guys, i heard they mazda installed the stock intake box for the 2.0 ss/sc in their vehicles just incase this would happen. no damage was caused to the engines and only $500 worth of damages total per vehicle. tires had warranty on them too so don't trip.
