Totaled my SS

So yea.... i was turning into a parkinglot, with my signal on, in no traffic, at low speed, and a another driver 100% plowed into me. I had already begun the turn, so my car shot off into the curb, clipping a light pole and bushes. So basicly the curb fucked up the whole front wheel drive, axle, and everything else associated with it. Minor rear end body damage and minor side damage where i cliped the pole.

Nothing I could have done, that bastard is going to fry!

I protected my SS as much as i could, even drove it like an old woman to keep her safe, so everyone just learn from me, sometimes no matter what you do, **** will happen, and just be thankful you're alive.

TO ALL COBALT and SS OWNERS.... drive on for me... drive on

OH NO!!!!!!!!!! That's awful. How did you not kill the guy?!?!?!?!?!?! I hope your insurance will cover most of it (well HIS insurance should...if he's even insured). That is my worst fear realized right there...some other ******* totaling my car for me.

I'm so sorry that happened. You going to try and get another one?

In a case like that, I think I'd insist that it be totaled. That car would never be the same again with front axel damage. I'd make the insurance total it (unless I didn't have the GAP coverage).

I assume total, and his insurance will pay. I did some "name dropping" with the police man. Hey, I tailgate with a superior court judge for the area at NC State, so once I said his name, i was set with the police report (i was already set, the ass hit me) and I didnt get GAP, but my insurance is compleate coverage, and so is his. He will pay!!!

I will try to get a new one.
And trust me, I wanted to kill him, my girl set me on the curb, she saw the look in my eye and kept me cool.

Dude that seriously sucks. But you should buy the car off of the insurance company - after you get a new one. Wrecked cars sell for a couple thousand. Then part it out as a parts car. You'll make a million on eBay from all the LS Cobalt models that want SS interior, body, sound system, etc..... That wing alone will sell for $400...... If the transaxle / frame is the only thing messed up, you should remove the engine. If it has less then 2,000 miles on it, it'll sell for at least $1,000.....

Its a used motor out of a wrecked car, it wont sell for that much. Hell that's the cost of a brand new one.....

A new one lists at $5100, I've seen different places selling them anywhere from $4000-$5000 with the supercharger, even if the car's wrecked if there's no damage to the engine and supercharger I wouldn't take less than $2500 for it...

as long as the engine/tranny is untouched in a collision it doesn't matter. most motors you see for sale are from wrecked vehicles.

May we have a momment in silence......

Ok. Now kill that SOB, is his car screwed too? The judge will hand his ass to him on a silver platter. Good luck on a new SS. Hopefully the one you get will be fully loaded if it wasn't already.

Alright, here is the deal. I am in the clear, his insurance will pay for fixing or totaling (we still dont know 100%, but it will be close to total). His insurance will also pay for my rental for 3 weeks, which will be an 05 Mustang! I know its not an SS but it beats the hell out of a normal rental which is like a lame taurus or something! Pics are being developed today, so i'll scan them as soon as i get them!!

Thanks guys for the support
