caliper color opinions

I have a red SS/SC and want to paint the calipers in the spring, but I don't know which color to go with. I know conventional wisdom says that I should go with red, but everyone and their grandmother does that, so I'm not going with red.

I want to go with either black or bright (not neon) yellow. A glossy black would be nice in that it would conceal dirt and brake dust better, but is not very noticeable. I think the bright yellow calipers look good on red, ferrari does it all the time and it rules. I'm not a Ferrari wannabe, but I think it looks good, especially with some nice rotors that I will be getting also. So what are your thoughts...

Black or Yellow?

I think color matched to the car looks best but whatever makes you happy.

Paint your calipers red. That's it. No other colors would look good on a red car. IMO!

I guess black if that's your thing.

Red (preferred) or black ... anything else won't flow with the car. They will just stick out like a sore thumb.

I'd personally go with red, but if you do decide black in the end you can always do a red chevy decal on them......here's an idea:

picture it black with red decals though...might look pretty cool and be different

I agree with everyone else, color match to your car and go with red. Black would be second choice.

I think you have the right idea with yellow. That is if you want to be differant from every other person who said to paint black or red. My personal opinion would be a glossy black. You could always try yellow and if you do not like it change it. Its not like its a expesnive mod. I hope it works out for you, good luck.

I agree with this statement. Body color matching calipers look best to me. But perhaps....uhm....maybe white or black. White or black or red would look best to me.

But I don't think caliper painting is rice in the least.

go red, if you go yellow i guess it would be ok cause the chevy logo is yellow,

i was thinking of doing mine red cause i got a blue car and the pontiac logo is red, but i guess it would just have to see how it comes out, it might look gay, or it might look amazing,

either way, its your choice and if you dont like it, do it the other colour

Red with yellow calipers reminds me of clown colors, or McDon@lds.
