What do you think about the Ion RL

i think thats one sweet car. The more i look at it, the less i like the Cobalt SS. Theyre almost the same thing minus a few pounds. I would rather get the Ion Redline than the Cobalt SS. Think about the ricers that will have their jaws drop when they get beaten by a Saturn out of all things.

Actually, I still like the Cobalt SS. The back end is niiice, and since I saw that photoshop of it, I can't stop drooling. SS for me.

I'll second that!

I like the interior and exterior of the Cobalt way more then the RL. And it'll be cheaper in Canada too. The only way I'd take an RL was if they gave me one, otherwise I'm set on the Cobalt.

I don't know why, but Saturn's have some of THE worst resale values I've seen. A Saturn SL is worth far less then an equivalent j-body car. You'd think that the plastic panels and such would make for better resale, but I guess they are just ugly and quirky enough that the market is too small to support higher priced used Saturns.

He wasn't bashing you bro. We are talking about the same platform here, so I think Ion RL people would be welcome too. A car enthusiast is a car enthusiast. And a true one should have a respect for all tuners and their cars. If you like the RL, more power to you. I'd like to see you driving one around and posting your mods and track times. That'd be a beautiful thing.

Agreed. I'd like to see some Redline guys on the board, would be nice to ask them some questions and get them to try stuff for us!

Hey guys, first of all since this is my first post here, I'd like to say hey. My name is Valentino (Val for short) and I drive an 04 saturn ION sedan.

Now that that's out of the way, I was going to chime in on this thread. I have test driven a redline for a lengthy period of time, and I can tell you it feels awesome. The handling is tight, the ride is better than the SRT-4 I test drive (more smooth and handles bumps better), and the car feels more refined. The recaro seats kick a$$ and hold you in place very well. The redline comes with a short shifter that feels very solid and precise. I suggest everyone to go test drive one for yourself. It will basically feel like a cobalt SS when your car comes out. I was impressed with it, although to be honest, since the car felt so smooth, you don't have that feeling like your going that fast, until you actually look at your speedo and realize your going faster than you thought.

Nice site, think I'll stay awhile.
