SS/SC Power Windows

I noticed probably a couple weeks after i got my 06 ss/sc that the automatic window in the driver side goes up way faster then the passenger side. In most cars its the exact opposite, which is that the non automatic window goes much faster.

I thought mayb it was that the battery was not powerful enough because when i do one at a time there much faster. Also when i have the lights off and the radio off. Has anyone else had this problem or replaced the stock battery for too little power to the electronics

if you roll them up after you turn the car off they go slow as turtles, esp the passenger side. I get the same thing, is it the battery in the trunk?

It is how the car is wired up.

Lights will dim with every car when you roll up the windows without the car being on.

And yes the Battery is in the trunk, in your spare tire well.

my windows suck...the passenger side one goes up soo slow. Once the driver side one is up its like a full 2 seconds before the other one is up...Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem and if a more powerful battery would solve the promblem

You're complaining about the speed of your windows?

Really?

Its annoying...GM put all the money into the engine and did a **** job with the rest of the quality of the car...they did stupid **** to bump up the price of the car...dont get me wrong i really love my car its just it seems they could have done a better job. I know its an economy car and its not top of the line but should have spent alittle more time of the design

FOR EXAMPLE - Those pirelli tires that cost 320 dollars each are horrible. They were only on there to increase the price of the the $1200

Its not a problem per se, because its like that in every cobalt with power windows, as well as nearly every other car of any make that has power windows.

noticed the same thing...i installed little turbos on mine...they help but the lag sucks, thinking on twincharging over the winter

but seriously...yeah, same issue with the windows, probably the wiring and the pull on the battery.

here is another issue. after you take the key out the radio plays until you open the driver door. you can open and close the passenger door all you want and it wont kill the radio. i like that.

what i dont like is that if you take the key out you can open and close the windows until either door is opened. so im putting windows up and my buddy gets out of the car, the radio keeps going but the window stops. wonder why they wouldnt wire them together??

Mine do the same thing. Although i think its getting worse (could just be me).
And my lights also dim while moving both windows at the same time.

Yea man i know what your saying...I know the cars only go 3 years behind its back but little things are the reasons why people fall in love with there cars...Hopefully in the next couple years GM will fix these problems

cobalt isn't the first and i'm sure it isn't the last car that has this issue (can't really call it a problem) my firebird did the same thing. Also, remember that compared to sedans, the windows are heavier. Current takes the path of least resistance. I am willing to bet that there is less wire to one side than the other.
