it wouldn't take much to coat the hats in a little high temp paint, just make sure that it is TOTALLY dry before installing... don't ask how i know.

Yes, those rotors will rust still just like regular ones, but only where the pad comes into contact with the rotors. You won't need to paint them, although the plating WILL not be as shiny once exposed to elements. Either way you look at it, it's still a piece of metal, and when water/road grime come into contact with it, it's going to rust.....

Guys, that brake setup is by far the best bang for your buck.

A supporting vendor sells them. (Uneek)

Here is a link to his thread. Roughly $289.00 for all four rotors and pads.

ok well i have the front ones installed and at first i was scared cuz i heard metal scraping noises for the first 5 miles then they stopped so i guess its ok now, i havent attempted to put the rears on due to time constraints as well as people telling me its gonna be really hard to install the rears due to the parking brake, ive never done a rear rotor install. pics soon to come

Did you get instructions on how to break in the rotors and pads? Its very important for the life and performance of the pads and rotors to do this.

edit-Here's a how to i googled real quick. There's prolly other methods that are slightly different but all have pretty much the same principle.

bedding in new pads and rotors

I would really like to upgrade my breaks. IMO I love the GMPP break kit. Plus I wont have to hear my dealer say **** since its GM part. I would however like to get bigger discs on the front. Nice break upgrades, and nice pics. Grats!

$320 shipped... and red calipers would be nice if this was a show car but im really thinking powdercoating them black cuz red would just turn black anyway with the time i dont have to keep this cr sparkling clean you know.
