Everyone's honest opinion on black rims

I'm having trouble deciding from silver, gunmetal and black rims. I have a red car and a part of me really wants to get black rims then other part is telling me they kind of look ghetto and are getting played out. What are ur opinions about black rims on a red car?

Black all the way. I will one day paint my stock rims black, when they are trashed.

I disagree....I think black rims are quickly becoming played out. Honestly, my favorite is gunmetal, or any dark gray, besides black of course. Flat black wheels are an exception, but gloss black just doesn't do it for me. Also, hyper-black is sweet, just because it is a mix of silver and black, and depending on how the light hits them, they can give off a different appearance(Similar to how the ss/sc wheels are). Either way, anything besides all out chrome should look great imo.

I don't like black rims. I tried to lick them for my yellow-black color scheme....but I couldn't. EIther silver or gray, or even white.

how is black played out and gunmetal isn't?

don't get white, unless you want to clean them everytime you get out of the car...Black would look the best on a red car...I have an Orange G5 and black is the only color i will throw on them.

DO NOT GET CHROME!!! unless you are truly ghetto fabulous...lol

Gunmetal or Black. Either will look great on a red car. I'd personally go black on a red car.

I would say go with gunmetal. I'm not a fan of black rims in general, the only color car I think they look fairly nice on would be a black car. But I would say gunmetal or like stated before, hyper-black, since its in between gray and black.

ALL black rims look the same from a distance...IMO, a rim design is a reflection of you and the car you drive. It should be unique and to your taste. Saying that, I personally like a gunmetal wheel with a polished lip - you gotta have the polished lip to finish it off. Mind you, I've had nothing but compliments on the OEM rims, both design and colour. Stay away from black - that look, just the like the white rim look, is being played out.

I know intentions were good, but you just made an 18" wheel look two sizes smaller with that colour scheme...but, with all due respect, if that's what you like then so be it!!
