no car sucks

so i let my mom borrow my car big mistake so she goes to back up and she doesnt know about the reverse lock. so she grabs the WHOLE boot and lifts up and breaks it. so i dropped my car off at the dealership today and they told me that in order to replace the boot they are going to have to replace the WHOLE shifter. does that make any sense to you? i dropped it off at 8 am and now its 3 pm and still no call

Ha ha. My Mom had to show the salesman how to use the reverse lockout since she had one in one of her old cars.

im pissed off at the dealership i read the HOW TOO take apart the shifter knob on this site. while i was waiting for them to finish with it. well i get a call at 5 pm after dropping the car off at 8 am. and they tell me that my car is ready to be picked up. i go there and they tell me that they couldnt figure out how to get the shifter out and the exhaust has to be taken to a muffler shop. so they washed my car for some amends. when i got in my car i popped the grey number plastic peice off to take a look. the mechs at the dealership took a drill to it, they diddnt even TRY to loosen that lil bolt. i'll post pics tomorrow. stupid S.O.B.'s

So what do you mean they couldnt get it off. Did they just give up and give you your car back? Dealers are so dumb sometimes.

Could not agree more. My dad is alot smarter then that, anyways. He needed to barrow my SS. I trust him 100% because he helps me with alot of differant things. When I need someone to watch my lil girl my parents are there. Anything I need, there loving parents. The point is, my dad was stuck in a parkling lot for an hour trying to get ahold of me to figure out why he couldnt get it in Rev. He wouldnt force anything and just waited for my call. Sure enough when I told him, he was like WTF lol. Said he should of known, his old car was like that.

Edit Post: Was not an hour, more like 20mins.

That sucks man. I'm really pissed at my dealership too. I bought my Cobalt last Sunday and noticed my clutch was slipping. Took it in on Tuesday morning for them to replace and its still there a week later saying that the clutch is on order. Seriously how hard is it to call GM and have them send a clutch overnight, I know GM must have some clutches since they are still producing Cobalts there every day.
