Finally debadged the rear...

Well I finally removed the big Chevy Badge off the rear of my SS/SC. I think it looks 100% better. I also painted the rear lock for now, since I am trying to save to get my Stage II kit.

Here are two pics, let me know what you guys think.

I still haven't removed the other badges, "Cobalt SS", and the "Supercharged" badge. I like the way it looks, but you never know, maybe in time.

Looks clean. I like de-badged. I'm not going to do it on my car though. I like the stock appearance. Even if I got a CF trunk I would prolly stick the SS and supercharged badges back on it. *shrug* Looking good man.

Thanks guys, still thinking about taking the rest off. Not sure yet, cause I really like the way it looks. I might play around in Photoshop and see what it looks like and then decide.

I think I am going to only leave the supercharged badge. By the way what type of paint did you use on the grills, looks great all around.

when you painted the lock. did u take it out or just tape the hell out of everything around it?

go with an0malous's idea with cobalt across the trunk. i did that to mine after seeing his it looks bomb.....also try looking into blacking out your taillights i dont know how it will look on a red car but just some suggestions

Thanks, I used Chrome Spray Paint, don't remember the brand, but once I get home I can dig out and let you know.

I have seen your badging before on some earlier threads you posted and it looks great. Thanks for the comments and the ideas.

Pretty much what you said, I taped the hell out of it , I toyed with the idea of taking it off, but after looking at the setup, I determined that it would take me longer to take the lock out then it would to just tape it up.

I have thought about blacking out the lights, but then again I have also thought about painting the Taillight covers Vic Red to match the car. Again something I will play with in Photoshop and see which looks best. Maybe I will post the rendered images and have a poll.
