I have attached a log file and my tune

also what do i need to do to monitor KR, i added it to my scan screen but its not showing anything, Im just honestly stunned i have 0 knock from all this and am worried its not right

my af/r is about 16.3.17.4 at idle and normal driving is 15.8-16.8
i have hit about 3/4th throttle and its 12.1-13.0

i havent hit WOT yet

Your config file for your logging is hosed. You aren't logging Total Knock Retard and your LTFT aren't configured right either. Don't log ANYTHING that is labeled as bank 2 it will through off all your sensor/hitsograms.

Also your tune, why is your AFR Stioch 14.79, it should be 14.69, do you like your car running lean?

You are running extra timing, on top of stock and higher compression. Not a good idea since you aren't logging knock.

Why are you running a 2.6, why not get it working with a safe pulley size?

Seriously I would put on the stock file or stage 1 flash and start from there. Do you have 42# injectors?

BD, get a tune from someone on here that has an 05' with 60LB injectors and the 2.6" pulley. Then tweak it to your specs needed. Most likely like Zinner said, you will have to pull some timing due to the higher compression pistons.

tweaked how? Not to state the obvious but didn't your car fail running that same calibration ? I think you need to take a step back to stock or stage 2, they are both safe calibrations. I hate to say it but the one you are using is not designed to be safe, it's designed to produce power.

Also you need to log "Total Knock Retard" it's a PID, the KR sensor variable is not correct on your PCM and will always read zero.

It's a PID, under engine, Retard, Total Knock Retard

i got it working :)

i also took the timing out of a stock 05 tune and put it into my file i was getting a hell of alot of knock at idle

My next questions is, how do i adjust my a/f while cruising and idleing

I know pe enrichment vs rpms adjusts it at WOt

but im in need of cruising and idle

No I was running Robs tune

there is differance there

I think its timing and some a/f differances

Zinner would i tbe possible for you to send me a gm stage 2 file that is setup to run 60lb injectors?

I am honestly just trying to find a safe tune so that I can drive it around town and break in the motor.

I will tweak it on a dyno next month sometime

You need to talk to Dan, I don't have a 60# file cause I don't have 60# injectors so I don't know how to make them work.


Cruise and IDLE AFR's are controlled automagically with the Stioch AFR variable and the Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor, maf, and LTFT/STFT's. I would set it to 14.69 and work on your injectors. You want your LTFT between -5 and 5

In hptuners scanner I dont get any o2 readings, im guessing that would be part of my idle problem

colder plugs and 93 octang I dont want to chance driving to sonoco its about 15 min away yet

Im thinking 5* of timing above 5k should fix the know, larenzo suggested this and im thinking it should work pretty good

That is the max amout of knock retard the PCM can add, thats really bad.

Yea, I fixed it :)

im now down to 4.9* at wot and that 8 was at like 35% throttle

My timing was freaking insane

you got it man.... you might want to adjust the PE curve a bit, if I remember correctly that tune was a little lean (12.2 afr) and the timing high octane mode was for when I was running meth so its probably around 25 degrees total.. so you might want to take some out of it. especially with the higher compression

I jsut honestly needed it to see your fuel flow rates, robs were off by about 2-3 points in some places, and also part of your maf tables

running dam good, just leaking oil broke tranny mount and 2 bolts starting to come out but it runs like a top

just gotta figure out the a/f some
