Usually, when I think street car, I think it could pass an inspection and the owner drove it to the race. Those cars and races were great, just not what I expected...

Take a drive down to the falls on a Sunday night in the summer. Go to Lundy's Lane and stop into the No Frills. You'll see many many cars just like those ones.

id like to see some true inspected street cars doing that, im not big into all out race cars. i like to see something that can be driven to work then to the street race right after and win. thats more interesting to me.

just because they are ON the street does not make them LEGAL street cars. They are cars set up for the drag strip that they decided to unsafely drive to a parking lot and sit....tubbed rear ends with 15 inch wide slicks, skinnies in the front, 900hp engines no matter WHAT way you look at it they are not street cars...

thats a good one though...just because they are on the street means they are street cars

A "street car" is a car that can be insured and driven on the street. In many areas it doesnt take much to be considered a "street car" and I wouldnt be surprised to see these cars on the street. Granted you dont see parachutes because they are removed to keep heat off of them, but it doesnt really matter what the car looks/has done to it *especially here in Michigan*. I've seen tubbed out rods with slicks/flamethrowers/sawed off exhaust/EVERYTHING when Ive gone to the woodward dream cruise. This is mostly the reason why midwest cars are so fast, no restrictions...

That orange(now purple) car is fully registered and completely legal to drive on the streets in CALIFORNIA.
