Floor brace bar

Anyone tried this, is it worth getting? looks like it bolts into the frame..anybody know?

actully ya they rigid up the center of the car from flexing under harsh turning...i havent gotton mine yet but i had one on a different car i owned...i wouldnt trust gettin one off ebay. from the pic in the auction it looking like a universal one to me..heres a link for ya Cobalt Addiction sells em..i would trust them alot more...plus the are a forum vender.

A good structure that bolts/welds up on the underside of the car would be a much better idea to stiffen up the chassis. Something like sub-frame connectors.

IMO that bar is just adding weight.

I'm not totally convinced that bar will do much for 90% of the people on this board. If you have every other suspension mod on your car and R compound tires then MAYBE I can see this being a benefit. Until then it is a waste of money and weight.

This bar WITH sub-frame conectors would work better than just sub-frame conectors. Sub-frame conectors go from the engine cradle to the rear suspension frame on a car (leangth wise). These bars go across with wise to help prevent twisting.

Wow, this was brought back from the dead...

If you're really concerned about strengthening the chasis, your best bet is a roll cage that ties the front and rear suspension points together. Subframe connectors won't do much on this car with or without this brace.
