StreetDreamz 12-28-2006, 09:23 PM Damn that's expensive as shit. I can get you guys sets in any color range for any bulb configuration at $140 shipped for a dual beam (HID low, halogen high) kit even. Lol. With same 1-year warranty.

No surprise. If you really look around, you cand find kit on Ebay for $90.
However, the quality will be much lower, as well as the level of service and support.
shadowfaxss 12-29-2006, 04:28 PM What about the legality of a conversion (motor vehicle code)? Don't these spread the light and blind oncoming vehicles? My BMW has the projector lense to keep the beam focused on the road, not oncoming traffic.

No these aren't e-bay kits. These are Phillips kits.

Our lights are designed to maintain a sharp beam, that does not come out like a shutgun burst as you will find with many of the lower-end kits.
You obviously will find slightly better results with a projector in place, but even with the factory halogen housing, the Cobalt does a petty impressive job of reflecting the xenon light.
Thank you in advance :)

No...thank you for your response. This has been a concern of mine and the reason I've never purchase a HID system.
srt-killer 12-29-2006, 08:45 PM VisionBulbs please respond to my PM about the Hi-Beams.
VisionBulbs 12-29-2006, 09:51 PM VisionBulbs please respond to my PM about the Hi-Beams.
Sorry for the delay.
Can someone who has previously installed one of our bi-xenon kits please give a little run-down here.
To make it worth your while, we'll throw in a $25 gift certificate to anyone who can quickly put together a DYI on this.
Thanks :)
srt-killer 12-29-2006, 09:58 PM I have already asked on this forum and no one knows how or doesn't believe they work. VisionBulbs can you just tell me how to get your kit to work properly? Thanks

justn 01-02-2007, 09:52 PM this does sound prety expensive
not really...especially if you consider the price you would pay from the factory to have an option like this installed on your vehicle.....typically around $1,000.
CobaltLT 01-04-2007, 03:48 AM Just got my kit in the mail today...looks great...can't wait to install it in my projectors!

TCarter 02-20-2007, 10:24 AM So, Question. If i buy the 9007 bulb 8k kit, and i buy projectors, which are H1 i believe, how much will you charge me for a replacement kit?

If you end up buying projectors, and you need H1 bulbs, you can just purchase the H1 bulbs and use them with the 9007 ballasts.
The bulbs are $109.95 plus your 15% discount.
Thanks in advance :)
TCarter 02-20-2007, 05:59 PM I appreciate it bud.
I'll let ya know.

R&C_rallySS 02-21-2007, 08:27 PM Just to make sure I got this correct because knowledge of lights is my weak point. If I have stock cobalt headlights or the projectors the HID kit will work right? Another words, the kit will work with any type of headlights you have?

yes!

NO.
Stock headlights require 9007 bulbs.
Projectors require H1 bulbs.
this kit itself will work great. but if you buy 9007's and then buy projectors....you will have to buy replacement bulbs (not the whole kit)
Replacement bulbs are about $100+
refuge4 02-22-2007, 04:54 PM I was curious about the difference in light output between the 4300K and 6000K. I figure that the 4300K would have the best light output, but how much better is it than the 6000K?
srt-killer 02-22-2007, 04:59 PM I have 12k's and i love them. I have Hell of alot more light output than stock! They work great. I don't see why people always say you lose alot of light out put when you go to a higher k. Mine put out more light than my friends 05 TSX with stock HID's and Projectors.
I have a 9007 kit left over from my Grand Prix...
its just the bulbs and ballasts and wiring harnesses...
do HIDs only (no projector) work fine with the Cobalt SS headlight housing??? or will the light go ALL over the place??
VB, paypaled on Feb 22, when should I be expecting these and is there a tracking #?

I believe Lexus is the only company that currently engineers a HID friendly REFLECTOR housing for some of their vehicles.....all the rest are projector.
Basically HID + Reflector (unless its lexus) = light all over the place.
well i dont know if thats the tearm... but...
we put HIDs in our grand prix's and the light is pretty much straight... (not a dead cutoff like true projectors) but i know im my SHO taurus it blinds EVERYone..
my 2 friends have mustang GTs... halogens stock... and there is a decently fine line with just HID bulbs (hid kit.. with balasts and all that)
so im asking if you just buy the ~$180 ebay hid kit.. and install that into stock housings.. with it be okay?

We'd advise staying away from Ebay for kits. Not that there aren't good quality kits, but for the most part, they're a waste of money.
Our kits work very well with Cobalt halogen housing. At $200, you really can't go wrong.
Thanks in advance :)
nickabud 02-28-2007, 02:05 AM Vision, I e-mailed again, and still no response. Please reply to my darn e-mail.....
Cobalttc05 09-25-2007, 11:14 PM mine are installed on the projectors they look great had to dremel a bit to get the bulb to fit in though

tombomb 11-10-2007, 03:52 PM Pm'ed looking forward to this order! its free shipping to Canada too right?
robr435 01-31-2008, 06:15 PM Not sure if you want to waste your money with this company. I've ordered my kit and been trying to communicate with them for almost two weeks. My high beams still don't work. Not sure if they ever will. The support from this company is absolutely horrible.
I'm also wondering whether its free shipping to Canada the method of post
