it will be over a grand since you need stage 2 to get stage 3.

But i am interested in that dual pass

is the PCM the same thing as an ECU, just a defferent name. Just incase you need to take it to the dealer and you want the warranty, can you just switch the stg 3 one with the stick one now problem without them detecting it

Yeah you can switch between the stage 2 and the satge 3 PCMs no problem.

well if stage 3 is like stage 1 i will get as soon as possible i have stage 1 with 2.7 pulley from intense and the maft set 0/1 and the thing is a rocket pulls hard all the way to redline 7000 the only thing is weird when ac on the idle surges up and down.

I'll avoid the Nitrous, but I kinda like the idea of Custom RPM. can our cars even handle 8000 RPM's w/o super duper Premium Octane or running Nitrous??

id be more worried about valve springs and such. If they can WOW but ill keep my 7000-7200 redline

from what i've heard it supposed to be all controlled by DIC, which has new features with the new PCM.

I want to know if it will run w/o Nitrous I don't think I would go past 7200 considering I have heard that past that we get valvel spring float. extra 200 RPMS it'll help

I assume any dry kit would work because it rescales the injector pulse width the compensate for the nitrous.:ca:

also the surge tank and 15 psi cap, plus all the fittings, hoses, clamps ect that does not come with this kit.

umm arent you guys forgeting the there are controls in hptuners to disable your a/c. So all you'd have to do is hook hptuners up to it and enable the a/c again...

to be honest it isn't a bad setup ... plug the custom computer when your going to the track then unplug it when you get back and keep warrenty ... at least thats the way it should work but whatever. plus when warrenty is gone add some juice to the mix and your over 300hp when you need it

they could at least include the tee for the dual pass in the kit I just priced one out today and my cost is $1260 Canadian. That is quite a bit for a pulley,Pcm and a dual pass plate.
I am sure a custom tune could do the same.:ca:

There isn't something in the software that would make it necessary to run the dual pass right?

Well because I would rather just buy the PCM for $325.00 and just install a biger heat exchanger. I already have a 2.9" pulley so this tune would be perfect for me. All I need is the PCM. Better than spending over $700.00 for the whole thing when I only need the PCM. :twothumbs

I would just to make sure.. they are only 20 and 30 dollars.. u might as well

and as far as switching between HOM and regular mode i think going through the DIC to change it would be a pain in the ass.. I would rather have a seperate controller like the Turbotoys on the SRT-4 that has a specific button for HOM. Unless GM made it where u hit the "i" button or return button a couple times or something

so with the nitrous.. are the stock plugs good, or do we need to swap those out? so i guess this motor can handle alot more power then most people think... with the 8k redline and the 50 shot.. i'm starting to wonder if the people who have blown up did so because of custom tunes.. by the sounds of this stage 3 pcm.. everything should be tuned just right for the 100 octane and nitrous.. should be able to push over 300hp easliy with that setup.

100 octane here and 93 octane but i don't know who wants to pay $5.00/gallon for 100 octane

Mopar's SRT-4 Stage 2 gets u 25 more hp and Stage 3 gets u 45 more hp.. those numbers are also achieved with the optional cat back exhaust

The thing is I don't beat on the car so I don't need all that cooling.

I big heat exchanger would be sufficient for 265-270whp.

It's just a daily driver for me that I get on when someone wants to race.
Maybe a few times a month. :twothumbs

I think this is a cop out on GM's part and I am pretty disappointed in the kit.

They could have easily offered a 2.8 pulley, larger injectors, dual pass, a little more aggressive tune and kept the warranty.

Everyone may disagree with me, but I think the stage 3 stinks if you still have warranty left. It is nice if your warranty is up, but come one...310 horse with NOS??? Our pistons are getting nervous at that point and so is GM which is why they pussed out and didn't warranty it. Plus making a "kit" that requires extra parts to allow it to work to "full potential"..........CRAPPY!!! :thumbsdow
