Feels really good

Me and a few friends were just driving around when we decided to go to the nearest Dunkin Donuts to meet with a few friends, so I drive in my 98 Maxima (I know I need a Cobalt ) and I see a Black Cobalt SS with a few other cars, Integra and a Celica. And I figure immediatly its a guys inside. So I go inside to check whose in there and theres a big group of people just sitting there, so i'm like "ok, its theirs" so I go back outside to chill, and they all come out and it starts, I never knew they had an automatic starter so I was like WOW, one thing I didn't know about balts! Anyways, I see a chick come out from the crowd and get in, my jaw DROPPED, then my friends are like Oh yeah figures a girls driving it its slow! and I immediatly started backing it up, the girl knew I was too cuz they all like looked at me like I was retarded, and I never knew how nice the engine sounded till she revved it, and right then and there I felt so much pride in that car from that moment, felt pretty good till I had to drive away in my car Anyways point of the story is that I shut all my friends up today!!!!!! Took me like a year to do it but I did!

A lot of people will bash the cobalt....I see more bashing on the cobalt than I did on the srt4.....now the srt4 is being praised. Wait for another like 4 years, finally people will realize that our car isn't really that bad at all.

I shut my friends up because she revved her engine and it sounded sweet thats why, they all just got quiet once they heard it had power.

So was it the chick that was driving the Cobalt and revving its engine or was it you? I mean if the chick was revving it, then she shut your friends up not you, right?

Your story perplexes me.

yea remote start in manual car = bad idea. Most manual cars wont start without the clutch in anyway.

Yup remote start is standard on all 2007 SS's i got one on my car, but the dealer didnt get the other standard, the 7 speaker sound system, so my system sucks, but its nice to see peoples first reaction to the remote start, when your walking out of the mall, hit the remote start and your car is parked in the back of the lot, you walk back theree, and there aare a couple guys standing around your car like wtf? lol

She revved it, so I guess she shut them up but I've been telling them for like 2 years now that its "not just another Cavalier", whatever my point being now my friends don't hate on Cobalts which makes me happier because now I won't be the butt end of every joke

I haven't heard anyone bash on any Cobalt until I came here, thats when the SC guys were bashing on us 2.4's during the Hahn's thread. Is it possible to get that remote start on a 2006 2.4L SS manual?

Remote start is an OPTION for 2007 2.4 ss automatics. and no you cannot get the dealer to install one on a manual tranny.

IMO i think its a pointless expense that will eventually break anyways.

i think you would have to make a ghetto rig to have a manual tranny auto start as you would have to make the clutch disengage when it starts... Then i would just worry about forgetting to leave it NOT in gear. if you didn't that thing could drive away LOL!
