Dealerships.......

So today Im at the dealership for some warranty work. Decided to look at the Z06 (mezmerizing). Started talking to a salesman and he noticed I was wearing a Cobalt hat and he asked what model I had. Then proceeds to tell me they had 3 turbocharged SS cobalts out on the lot. Am I missing something?

No, he probably just doesn't know difference between turbo and super. He is a *******!

Turbos are not out yet.

No, as a salesperson they have to know how to sell cars

If they happen to throw something intelligible about the car into their sales pitch, it is completely by accident.

Out yet...more like never coming out.

And I know a few "salespersons" at work that couldn't tell you the difference between many submodels on the lot. They focus on the higher priced vehicles and if someone buys an "econo box" they'll just look up whatever they need to tell you

no one is bringing up the question of whether or not a turbo cobalt exists, that wasnt the point of the thread. I was just making fun of salesmen who cant distinguish their ass from a hole in the ground

I Get the point guys but that doesn't make it right. I spent more time talking to the guys in the service department than my salesman last month when i bought mine. i'm in sales to
but i would hate not to be able to tell you something about my product let alone say the wrong thing uknowingly! either way its one of those things that will continue to happen as long as were here!

True, I will just PM him the info.

Salespeople are DICKS!

The only ones you can trust are the ones that you become friendly with over a period of about 5 purchases or so. Even then, still be careful.

point taken, I tried to tell the guy that it was a supercharger but he kept refering to the brochure that he claims said turbo so I ended the convo by saying its all forced induction anyways.... then walked away and applied for a corvette c6
