Im going nakie

Well after all the sexy pix of the naked cobalts i have seen, i decided to do it myself. Unfortunatly after removing the center Chevy emblem and the sticker I had a blister pop up on my thumb from all the rubbin and a cramp in my hand. So here is the before and after, and hopefully I will have time to finish it later.
Before

After

For some reason when I look at the after pix, it looks like u can still see the outline of the Chevy emblem, but in person u dont see it... strange..... Anyone else see it?

i can see the outline. You might want to try claying and using a cleaner wax to see if the outline still remains.

It's because it has been covered up and you have waxed and washed the other, while under the bowtie, you haven't give it a little bit and a good couple waxes and washes, and it will slowly start to fade!

Already tried that. I removed all the stickem then washed it, then used some polishing compound, then washed then waxed. I finished the whole rear end, I just have to put some pix up.

I didn't mind the badge, but I think it looks so much better without it. I'm glad I debadged.

Finished

Well I finished it up tonight, my dealers badage and the lettering only took 5 min to take off compared to that huge chevy badge. Anyways, I decided to leave "Balt" on the back for now just to see what u guys think. Also thought about changing the "a" to a "o" so it says "Bolt" or maybe doing something different. Maybe spread it across the back above the lock or something. What do u guys think? Just throw some ideas at me.

Get someone to make you matching letters (same font as Cobalt) and spell out the name of your car instead.

it looks good, but whenever i read the term "nakie", i'd better open up a thread started by a hot chick with pictures of herself naked in it

clay and wax. there will be residue of soaps/waxes you've used from the edges of the emblem where it previously covered. it'll take it right off
