View Full Version : Found a better wax then ZAINO, Check this out..PIC
05BlackSS 12-26-2006, 09:50 PM Now, A friend of mine recommended a wax called NANOWAX from Eagle products. I have always thought eagle products were somewhat on the lower end of the scale. But after trying this stuff I was truly amazed. Does it produce a better, deeper gloss then Zaino, its pretty damn close, but the ease of application and removal is by far the best I have ever used. And there is ZERO residue left when removing it. No white power, nothing. I know for dark coloured cars this is a real bonus. Canadian Tire sells it and it is in a Grey bottle that you pump. It comes with an applicator and a free Microfibre towel which is very good quality. The trick with this wax is to take off the first layer (the thick stuff) with one towel, then buff the clearcoat with another towel. (American Made Microfibre is the best) After that I used a spritz of Zaino Z6 over the top and that just made the gloss even better.
Read about Nano technology online. The wax particles are so small, they actually fill in small scratches and swirls.. I verified this personally by finding a small swirl mark, then applying the Nanowax and voila the swirl dissappeared after I buffed it off. This is the first wax I have ever used that truly does what it claims..
Try it and you wont be dissappointed.
Here is a pic...Yes you are looking at the hood and my wall cabinets in the reflection.

halfj99 12-26-2006, 09:56 PM i think its like $15ish at any autozone or walmart
Ljavy17 12-26-2006, 09:58 PM damm! I had to look twice! However the best wax out there in this website is turbowax!
05BlackSS 12-26-2006, 09:59 PM Dont buy the spray bottle form...... Get the pump grey bottle. Its superior I believe. It was 15 bucks Canadian. That pic was taken on my Monte Carlo which is stored in the garage...
That Cobalt LT Guy 12-26-2006, 10:10 PM I got mine for 5 buck at auto zone.
BlackSS05 12-26-2006, 10:11 PM bought it from eagle one direct for 12.99 also picked up a little detail kit to try out for 9.99. Not too bad i cant want to use it on my balt.
BrockLanders 12-26-2006, 10:15 PM I use the spray on the details and wheels, and the grey paste wax on the rest of the car. The paste leaves a thicker film of Wax than the spray.
Good sh!t either way. Thats all my car has ever had.
Cobalt_SSTuner 12-26-2006, 10:29 PM damn, now thats a shine
redSSBalt 12-27-2006, 01:00 AM Do you think that's better than Meguiars???
plyboy-illest 12-27-2006, 11:46 AM DAMN!! that shit came out good but the other question to ask is...
how long is the wax going to last!...
BrockLanders 12-27-2006, 10:16 PM I find after about 3 months it needs a re-do. Thats with moderate washing and proper car soap and Micro Fiber mit.
superman 12-28-2006, 08:05 AM That's some crazy shit! Inform us on how long your car keeps it's shine.
xspyder85x 12-28-2006, 08:48 AM wow a perfect surface.

CTCOBALTSSS 12-28-2006, 10:08 AM I have to say that is sick. Looks awsome. Nanowax hah? Good to know. :twothumbs
BravoPuma6 12-28-2006, 10:12 AM it looks great, but ive seen zaino'd cars in person. and zaino looks way better. the bad thing about that spray on wax is the fact that it doesnt last very long, especially for those of us that dont have a garage.

What I used was NOT spray on wax.... It is in a bottle and you pump it out on to an applicator pad. I have used nothing but Zaino on my cars in the past and I am telling you, this has a FAR FAR superior shine....

i thought i read it was the eagle brand liquid spray wax, my bad. im sorry bro, but till i see it in person, Zaino ownz! do you have a link to the wax that you speak of? i really have no idea which one it is. If its cheaper then zaino then im willing to give it a try, my meguires cali gold is almost out.
monkeiboy 12-28-2006, 12:13 PM It took me about twenty seconds to realize that I was looking at the reflection of your garage cabinets in your hood. I couldn't figure out why your garage was all distorted. Nice job with that wax.
I've seen it at Wal-mart LAST NIGHT for $9 and some change. The pump bottle with the free towel.
Someone else on here posted about using this product to wetsand their stock rims. They came out looking like a million $$$.

2K5SS/SC? 02-01-2007, 02:26 AM Those are seom nice shines, I'll give you that. There is nothing like a Mothers shine though. California Carnuba Cleaner Wax. Clean the paint and shines brilliantly every time! I did a test with my buddies Meguires product versus my Mothers product and needless to say I have to go over the Meguires side with my Mothers product. :twothumbs
hatrickstu 02-01-2007, 02:27 AM lmao ive been using this for over a year and a half now! i try to do it every month and am pretty happy with the quality of my paint right now
rcmpayne 02-01-2007, 11:44 AM do you use buffers to get this shine or just a few cloths
hatrickstu 02-01-2007, 01:16 PM do you use buffers to get this shine or just a few cloths
i do it all by hand, but there are machines that do the job better
M-Dub 02-01-2007, 01:19 PM I have been using that on my cars for about 2 years now!!! It is awesome... leaves a great shine, and no residue... the only problem is it does not last very long! But is very easy to work with and to remove....
BlueLT 02-02-2007, 08:17 PM I've been a long time Zaino user (addict? *L*), but I have tried other products along the way for comparison's sake, and one of them was Eagle Nanowax. Not bad, but I found found it didn't quite match the reflectivity or depth of Zaino, and wasn't as durable either. It's hard to judge by pics, but here's a couple of my Zaino shots:

So yes, I still use Zaino *L*.

Ive been using Zaino products for years . I tried the Nanowax(pump bottle) about a year ago and have used it ever since . The Nano doesnt really do any better of a job than the Zaino , but it is completely equal to it in the results . Theres no dusting AT ALL , it wipes off as easily as Zaino ....I better shuddup before I start sounding like a infomercial :D
:twothumbs Nanowax:twothumbs
