I'm looking for some suggestions. I know these intake threads are posted daily but I keep asking my questions on other ppl's threads and keep getting ignored...
I would like feedback on putting an intake in the SS/SC. I've heard that it really makes the supercharger whine but I want to make sure its worth $200 before I buy one. I put a K&N CAI on my '00 Eclipse GT (stock) and feel like I couldn't have wasted my money more foolishly. But I have a feeling that supercharger will really make a big difference in sound. Also, I've read that the Injen is the best way to go but I was looking at the AEM (since the filter is oil free); is the AEM a decent choice?
Any help would be awesome!

 

Okay, the first thing you're going to notice about the AEM is that it still uses most of your stock tubing. I have one. I haven't gotten a CEL yet so that's good but the supercharger whines quite noticeably. If you're looking for all the tubing then don't go with AEM, but if you want to keep the "sleeper" look, go with them. If you look under my hood, you can't even tell I have an intake. I don't know from first hand experience, but my friend has an injen CAI on his 06 ss/sc and I have to say that it whines really good. It is an awesome sound. I haven't driven with him or anything but he says you can definitely feel a difference performance wise. It's not going to be anythin amazing, but it is enough to tell.
