There are tons of mods available. If you plan on going more then the gm stage II I would suggest going directly to hp tuners(lose your warranty). If you want to keep your warranty then gm has a really good line of high performance parts and staged kits. They also keep your warranty. Well most of them anyways.
the warranty would be nice to maintain incase of faulty mechanics... but i do have definate plans for it...
thanks for the tips... can't wait to put it all together... for now saving my pennies.
*speading tix are such a financial set back*

My advice is to actually drive the car around for a month or so to see what you like and don't like about the car and then mod accordingly. Jumping right into performance mods may not be the best thing to do because you may find you don't like the ride, sound sytem, handling, blah blah blah. There is a post in the lounge you should read about proper planning before you just start modding.
Also search around this site. I know you're excited and we are all happy for you but this has been asked 1000 times so your answer is easily obtainable.
Another thing that should not be neglected is instrumentation. It's important to know what's going on inside your engine when you are adding hp. If you stick with intake and stage two you shouldn't have much to worry about, but if you go outside of that an a/f gauge, EGT, and an interceptor would be paramount to ensuring your car is running correctly.
Also known weekpoints are the clutch and axle so you may want to think about upgrading those if you plan on driving hard and doing some nice burnouts.
Good luck, have fun, be safe, and welcome to the site!

If your ever planning on getting smaller then a 2.8 pulley, DO NOT go with the GM stage 2. other then warranty, its too much money. Ask anyone with a GM Stage 2 how they can get their pulley hub off.
Mods include: Cobalt Stage 2 Performance, Cobalt Extruded Honed Manifold, Cobalt Cat-Back Exhaust System Performance, LSJ 2.0L Ecotec GM Performance Stage 2.8 Pulley, B&M premium sport shifter, H&R Springs, Cobalt Addiction Front Mount Heat Exchanger, Typhoon Air Intake System, NGK Spark Plugs Iridium (BKR7Eix), Ingalls Stiffy Engine Torque Damper
