Brought my car in for the second time for the p0300 random misfire. They dealer told me gm doesnt cover a rental car until parts are ordered for the car. If I got a rental wouldn't gm have to repay me when the dealer ordered parts? I don't think it's fair for me to pay for a rental when they see that something is wrong with the car. I am hoping for dealer stupidity right now because I really want a gto and kbb/nada has a high resale for my car.

If they don't need the car till the parts come in I would suggest just driving your car till they come in. Should not hurt nothing.

 

They dont even know what to order or where to start
I'm not being racist but the tech working on it doesnt speak good english and when I brought my car in for a sticking door handle he only checked the outside handle but the problem was with the inside so they are supposed to fix that to(u can hear it binding inside the door).

 

thats dumb the dealer should have to give you a rental if they know that the car going to take longer the the day! ...

 

well I am going to the dealer now to get a rental

 

When I take my car for service , if car stays more than 24 hrs I get a Free rental.

 

When i took my car in, they couldnt let me take it back home casue of a saftey issue w/ the airbags so they gave me a free rental till it was fixed. That was a month ago and now I have to take it back for the exact same thing...this time I am taking it on a Saturday so that i can get a rental for the weekend and make gm pay for it.

 

The GM warranty states that any repairs that require the dealer to have the car for 24 hours or more and a rental will be provided. I have never had any problems getting a rental if they are going to have my car longer then a day... they have even given me a rental for free once or twice just because. I think you just need to find a new dealership to take your car to.

 

well I got my car back. Everyone at the dealer was really nice. They took me into the garage to talk to the lead tech. He told me somebulls#!t saying that the aeroforce interceptor guage is causing the code to come up when the ecm send a signal. I told him that I would disconnect the guage and bring it back when the code comes up again. So everynight when I get home I will plug it in to see if there is a code.
