Well the forum doesn't say vehicle specific...

Finally got some of my stuff I ordered pre-Christmas in today:

Hopefully this stuff won't sit in my closet for months. I'm hoping to drop at least .3 tenths after install.

Umm..."Yank 2800-3000 stall converter".... Not trying to be an ass, but it does say it there.

Looks good. Make sure to fill that with trans fluid before you install it.

Yeah, its supposed to be a 3,000RPM flash/stall unit but most people see them stalling up to around 2,900ish RPM's so I guess we'll see once its installed.

10" or 11"

Yank converters are not cheap. What did you pay? ~$600-$700?

Expect it to flash to around 3200-3400 and stall up to 2500-2700. I have 3500 stall in my truck, and it flashes to 3800-4000 and stalls to 3100.

My 6.0l LQ4 shortblock (it's used has about 15,000 miles from an 05 2500HD). I'll be throwing a mild cam and some mildy ported 317 heads on it. Probably some longtubes.

Stock power for one is 300hp/360tq (flywheel of course)...but usually they put out a little more on the dyno. The awesome thing about the iron block 6.0l's is many people are putting 600+rwhp down on stock internals, and spinning them 6,500+ rpms. :) Gotta love 6 bolt mains..

That should help some. Why don't you throw a crazy cam in like a .520 lift with 240 degrees of duration!!! Then a set of LS6 heads! Thats 400 whp easy!

Lol man I would love to go wild on the cam combo but the truck is more than likely going to be my daily driver for awhile. I'm hoping to some how retain my warranty too LOL, the 6.0l block and 5.3l block look almost identical.

Actually between having a $150 car-note and much cheaper insurance costs I am believe it or not still saving money lol. I actually owe less on my truck now than I did on my Cobalt before I traded it in! It's a great feeling for sure.

Mmmm , you will like man . I gaurantee it :D I ran a Yank 3400 in my old Trans Am for awhile . The Yank was great converter .

I can somehow see your truck eventually turning into something like Parish's insane turbocharged Silverado :D

Enjoy your converter bud :)

Thanks Silver! Man I wish I had the technical know how and money to make my truck into something like Parish's lol. But for now, getting into the 13's will be fun! I'm glad to hear you guys say you enjoyed the Yank converter. I almost went with the fuddle until I read some customer service horror stories from them.
