Lemme find the correct one for ya. I think this is the right equation: Injector Pulse Width * Engine Speed / 1200 Yours may be setup to divide by 2400 possibly. denny 01-15-2007, 10:42 AM It should be double that, you have the custom IDC PID set up incorrectly. Lemme find the correct one for ya. I was told the one that came with HPtuners was the right PID. rick1217 01-15-2007, 10:44 AM hmmm....i am a little new to tuning, but your IDC is only 44%?? and your A/F ratio is 10.9:1, right?? or am i readin something wrong?? is that not running pretty lean??? Witt 01-15-2007, 10:46 AM hmmm....i am a little new to tuning, but your IDC is only 44%?? and your A/F ratio is 10.9:1, right?? or am i readin something wrong?? is that not running pretty lean??? 10.9 is rich on these cars. The duty cycle is definetly only reading 50% of actual. CTCOBALTSSS 01-15-2007, 10:47 AM Yeah, you double that reading to 88%. Any runs up near 7,000 rpm? rick1217 01-15-2007, 10:52 AM 10.9 is rich on these cars. The duty cycle is definetly only reading 50% of actual. oh, right, sorry i just got off a 18hr shift, i was thinking lower is lean and higher is rich...shit, time for bed:bye::lol: djt81185 01-15-2007, 10:57 AM DJT81185: 98.2666 rev/sec DJT81185: .01017645981 sec/rev DJT81185: *2 since its a 4 stroke motor DJT81185: .0203529196s total injection window DJT81185: hes at 17.8 ms ipw DJT81185: 87.4567% idc 87.4567% idc at 5900 rpm and u still got another 1100 rpm to go...110%+idcs coming LOL denny 01-15-2007, 10:59 AM It should be double that, you have the custom IDC PID set up incorrectly. Lemme find the correct one for ya. I think this is the right equation: Injector Pulse Width * Engine Speed / 1200 Yours may be setup to divide by 2400 possibly. Nope. It is well configured give me 2 minutes to upload proof to you. djt81185 01-15-2007, 11:00 AM It sould also be mentioned that is commanded afr is 10.90 but that is not actually what it is...iirc 877mv O2S1 is around 12.5:1 - 13.0:1 No wideband...no actual afr reading DWK5150 01-15-2007, 11:01 AM Mine came with the correct setup for the PID but read like yours is. I had to make a PID the exact same and it reads correctly now. denny 01-15-2007, 11:01 AM http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g220/dmedeiros/pidIDC.jpg Witt 01-15-2007, 11:03 AM Nope. It is well configured give me 2 minutes to upload proof to you. Your duty cycle numbers indicate the 42 pounders are good to about 600 crank HP. Take my word for it, they aren't. Try setting it up with the PID for a single injector instead of the sensor for "Injector". It looks like it may be taking an average of 8 injector PIDs (we only have 4 of course). denny 01-15-2007, 11:06 AM It sould also be mentioned that is commanded afr is 10.90 but that is not actually what it is...iirc 877mv O2S1 is around 12.5:1 - 13.0:1 No wideband...no actual afr reading Dan, you know that the stock o2 sensor means nothing... What I need is a Wideband to get a real readup. The file am using right now is the updated stageII. Rodimus_Prime 01-15-2007, 11:07 AM yea i dont see a wideband reading on that table denny 01-15-2007, 11:08 AM Your duty cycle numbers indicate the 42 pounders are good to about 600 crank HP. Take my word for it, they aren't. I know they are not good to 600 crank HP. Am just trying to understand why am I getting such low IDC's compared to some of you. djt81185 01-15-2007, 11:10 AM Id also start logging KR if I were u and u may want to check into all those reading for bank 2...last time i checked we only had 1 bank That may be teh source of ur prob as an avg of 17.8 and 0 avg'd together will give u half the reading OniMirage 01-15-2007, 11:12 AM interesting to see how this turns out denny 01-15-2007, 11:14 AM Id also start logging KR if I were u and u may want to check into all those reading for bank 2...last time i checked we only had 1 bank Dan, am not that much of a noob when it comes to tuning and datalogging been doing it for a while now....you dont think I already scanned for KR...lol..thanks for the tip. From all the scans I have done I get no KR expect the occasional 0.4 on shifts. The Stage II file is working very well for me as fas a KR is concern. zinner 01-15-2007, 11:15 AM You need to remove any PID's that reference bank 2 in your config. Thats what is messing up your IDC calculation. IPW bank 2 STFT bank 2 LTFT bank 2 denny 01-15-2007, 11:17 AM Yeah, you double that reading to 88%. Any runs up near 7,000 rpm? I will very soon at the dyno but I hate to rev that high on the street...Damn tickets are expensive..:cussing: LOL..I already have 2 high speed tickets to pay. Witt 01-15-2007, 11:19 AM I will very soon at the dyno but I hate to rev that high on the street...Damn tickets are expensive..:cussing: LOL..I already have 2 high speed tickets to pay. LOL, I saw a thread on the RL forums about getting a ticket while tuning. I usually tune in 3rd gear on the highway, but I guess there's always second. ;) denny 01-15-2007, 11:19 AM You need to remove any PID's that reference bank 2 in your config. I will log with just minimum PID's (IDC, RPM, KR, SPEED,etc..) not tonight as we have over 10cm of snow falling right now...:( djt81185 01-15-2007, 11:19 AM Dan, am not that much of a noob when it comes to tuning and datalogging been doing it for a while now....you dont think I already scanned for KR...lol..thanks for the tip. I cant wait to log again with just a few PID's, should be interesting. I will keep you all updated on this. I understand completely. I can relate. :cussing: I could of bought the nice TAG water/meth kit:bye: Matty 01-15-2007, 11:44 AM When I had my stage 2 flash, and the 2.8, my wideband said low 11's near the 7000 RPM range. foff667 01-15-2007, 10:38 PM You need to remove any PID's that reference bank 2 in your config. Thats what is messing up your IDC calculation. IPW bank 2 STFT bank 2 LTFT bank 2 ding ding ding we have a winna!!! basically IDC is a calculation...when your logging 2 or more injector pulse width sensors the program automatically averages the values together so when 1 of them reads 17.8 & the other reads 0 the program does the calculation (17.8+0)/2 to get the average. Just remember...everything in tuning is only as good as the data you are giving. :twothumbs zinner 01-15-2007, 10:49 PM Interesting point!! Wideband readings you mean I assume? 14.4-:15.0:1 at idle & part throttle 11.5-12.2:1 at WOT depending on how much boost your running is about the norm. |
