Where is a good performance shop around town that does kick ass custom exhaust jobs?

MetalMan (Did my 3" intake & hard pipes) can do a kick ass custom exhaust, just realize it's going to be pieced (welded) together from various chunks of bends and straight pipe. There probably isn't a non-welded pre-bent exhaust on the market yet, so no different than what you'd get elsewhere. And he does excellent work:

Give MetalMan a call (http://www.metalmanfab.com metalmanfab@gmail.com 602-451-7260) he'll want to take a look at your car and then'll likely give you an estimate.

BTW, here's a pic of the CAI and hard pipes he made for me:

Speaking of which, if you are interested in a CAI, you might want to talk to him about it.

Not likely.

Wow, the CAI is amazing. How much did he charge you for your exhaust/CAI? I'm tired of waiting for the aftermarket. Besides, i don't think a custom job is gonna be much different, as far as performance gains. Hell, you're a good example of that ;) You have a lot of custom work on your ride?

Pretty much all custom except the stock engine...

I didn't have MetalMan do my exhaust, I got a smoking deal on a GHL Turbo back 3" system instead. It was about $500 for the intake and hard pipes (intercooler pipes) polished and installed... oh that's the other thing about MetalMan, all of his prices include installation, since he's doing it all custom anyhow, that way he can be sure everything fits perfect too.

So, probably about 250-300 range I would guess just for a CAI? Ever heard of "Pro Muffler"?

Thanks anyway...was kinda hoping to see an SS/SC up close.

That is some fine tubing work on that intake. That shop does nice stuff.

Does a CAI affect the SC as much as it does on a Type S? ~5 hp.

The few people that have one and ahd it dyno'd showed about 10hp increase.

Yea, I think the intake was $250. For your car, it'll all depend on how long, how many curves, basically how hard it is to make.

I've heard the name "Pro Muffler" before, but couldn't tell you anything about their work. Sounds like a bigger shop w/ multiple employees.

MetalMan is a one man operation, he works out of his garage in North Phoenix (just off the 101), it's his reputation on the line for every piece he manufactures.

Mchat, I'll call him soon, but like you said, he'll just say to come in. i don't have the cash right now, cuz my wife just racked up the 'ol credit card. BTW, she's leaving for the weekend, so if you wanna setup a meet, we can do it.

7th st and 101? hell, he's only about 3 miles from me. maybe I'll just drop in tomorrow afternoon before work.
