Unlock Headlght feature

Hey everone. I'm not sure if this is a problem as of yet so I am keeping it out fo the problems forum at this time pending what is decided here.

Today my driverside low-beam went out. The problem is that when I unlocked my car this morning, and this afternoon the headlamp was on. So my question is, for the feature of having your headlights turn on when you unlock your car in the DIC, which beam does it use? The high or low beam? I'm assuming the high beam, but I want to make sure it is, in case theres some wierd computer issue my car is having thats stopping the car from turning on the low beam when the car is running.

TIA.

-Steve

OK. Damn PIAA bulbs. Less than 6 months in my car and one already dead. Think thats a legit warranty claim? $80 bulbs should not break that quick. My last set that I had in my old car lasted near 2 years before they died.

definitly get it covered under warranty if you can. there is no reason these bulbs shouldnt last the life of the car or at least like 8 years.
