How do I beat a supercharged mustang v6

Hello all newbie here!!

My friend has 05 stick fully bolted and supercharged 2005 mustang v6. He is talking smack all the time, I have seen his car and it is pretty sick.

How do I beat him? do I need to mod?

Thanks

I would hurt his feelings and ask him why he is modding a V6 Mustang. Maybe that will affect his driving

I seen him blow a mustang GT on the track (With street tires)....so I guess I can't use that one .

Any ideas as of what bolt-ons can give me a chance?

NAWZ!!!!!111 I don't know what you could do other than that, I once beat a modded v6 mustang in my 2.2L ...but that's not saying much since it wasn't supercharged.

sorry to say it dude, but you need quite a lot. if you have a 2.4 ss then you will have to get I/H/E (intake headers and exhaust) and probably a good tune, plus nitrous. if you dont go nitrous then it would have to be forced induction, because us ss/sc guys have a hard time taking a new GT , and you say that your friend smoked one, so, yeah. but good luck and happy modding.

being realistic, you need some forced induction... bolt ons will not really help that much

the 05+ v6 mustngs run 14.9 stock..... then add a supercharger lol.

turbo your car whenever its available...... or dont bother. your cars are in two completely different classes now. you need some sort of FI or some spray or maybe a fully built motor with spray

lol how many people can post within 1 minute

Thanks everyone for the quick responses.

This guy talks smack but he is a friend nonetheless....

He is pulling something like 335rwhp and 350lbs-ft torque...so I don't feel that bad...I guess ...

He also told me that he is going to have the internal swaped with forged units and a heads job..... quite looking at 450 rwhp 500 lbs-ft on a v6 with pump gas.....

I have seen the slips and he is at 12.45 on the 1/4....

I think that even modding, unless I strip every pound of useless weight and put a B.A. turbo on it I will not have a chance....

I really appreciate the responses!!

nothing wrong with that. id like to do one of those supercharged shelby 6's. just for something different. cheaper ins too.

on topic with the 2.4ss you wont hang with a blown 6.

350 ft lbs doesn't yield a 12.45, not unless he has FULL suspension and trans work and a huge rear end. Hes rather putting out more power, or he runs slower. 335 hp is a 105 hp gain over stock, so the bolt ons and the blower seem to match the power. Sounds kinda fishy but heres my take:

Stock V6 mustangs, in 05, should run a 15.5 or maaaaybe faster. The 05 GT runs an advertised like 13.7, but in reality they run low 14's. The 2.4L Cobalt runs a low 15 right or something like that with the average driver?

If he knows what hes doing you have a lot to beat. Im pretty sure intake, exhaust, tune, tires and some spray you would take him. But that would put a lotta strain on your trans and suspension.

Maybe from a dig, but not from a roll. I raced one the other day from about 30-80 twice. Tied the first time and beat him the second. I've got a bone stock '06 SS/SC.

trade in 2.4SS, buy Sky Redline or buy regular Sky, buy Hahn turbo kit - run 20psi and now you have a RWD FI monster too...

other than that just accept the fact that he has more money to dump into his car than you and that you'll always be slower...

what kit is he running with how much boost. at 9 psi a procharger has put down 365rwhp and run 12's on stock rubber.... if he has an lsd/gears and maybe some lower control arms, he should be knocking on the door of twelves on street tires, so you will have your work cut out for you for sure...now if he is running like upward of 10 psi, there really isn't much you will be able to do without going built block and forced induction. stock 4.0 can runs low 15's as the norm and can hit high 14's (these are manual times, auto times are mid-low 15s) and all of the blower kits will put you at mid 13's at the worst with a good driver and the centri kits will be monstrous in the top end (roll racing will not help you). just remember he is blown, you are gonna have to do something equal or greater to keep up/beat him.

I dont think youll beat him, unless you get a fully built motor and a big turbo on 10 lbs.
