my tax return is goin towards my CC's then my deployment money is going towrds all that fun ****. Moddin the balt, big screen tv, and a 97-02 dodge dakota for the winter.
I have an idea...how about you guys increase your withholding allowances and stop giving the government an interest free loan?
Your federal tax paid/received should be near zero if you set your withholding properly. You should not be getting any extra money, especially money to waste.
Suggestion for any extra money: IRA deposit.

Don't like what you hear, Glockglade? Perhaps i am striking too close to home.
post was "tax time, what will you buy?" A solicitation for suggestions. You don't like what was posted? Tough, its a valid response. Nice retort with the insults, clearly you believe in the free flow of opinions and ideas. Just what is needed on any forum...
If you yourself get money back at tax time by error or lack of action, you're flat out making a mistake. A person who uses the government as a forced savings plan by choice is weak.
Those under 17K a year especially should not be giving the govt an interest free loan. And if you are getting back money due to the earned income tax credit, that money ESPECIALLY should be saved.

If I get any back which is doubtful because last year I broke even and I would assume I will this year too, I will put it towards building my new house. Actually it's a duplex but whose counting.

While your advice is sounds, please consider your audience before you get up on your soap box and call everyone an idiot who get a refund and doesn't calculate there withholdings from Jan 1st 2006. Save that advice for the Dave Ramsey forum.
Also while I probably won't get a refund my tax season purchase is the Gravana B+G coilovers. If your smart with your money you can buy whatever you want, whenever you want.
