his shoot out of the hole with an 8k RPM drop = us at 2k rpm only difference he doesn't have all that crazy torque steer we love to hate in the SS. BTW, that Lotus should be nettin 13's. Clearly a newbie track driver behind the wheel.

I have seen this before and that car has more then DR's. He also has a CAI and catback exhaust if I am not mistaken. Maybe even a tune he isn't speaking of?

I wish we could bounce off the rev-limiter like that befare a launch. Not in the Cobalt though. He made good runs. Lotus= Diver Mod Stage -3

thats not the rev limiter,(Not the 8k one at least) I think we can do that two, I think its called a two step or something. You set it at a certain RPM and you can rev as high as you want that as long as your in 1st gear and the clutch enganged it wont go higher.

Hondata FTW. You can set the launch limiter anywhere you want. Not exactly a two step.

Ah, someone who notices the little things! Imagine repeatedly bouncing the rev limiter at 8200 RPM. That would not be healthy!

He also can just be reving back and forth around certian rpm. Holding your revs at a high rpms can do something like make your oil pressure really low and it can hurt your engine. And that reving it back and forth can prevent that. I dont know that for sure but ive seen a good amount of evo's and sti's doing the same thing up at the track.

The driver of the Lotus should be hanged infront of a crowd of ricers for destroying the Lotus name.

You can set the limiter to whatever you want in P/N (park/neutral), but it sucks because I set my limiter to 4500 in P/N and 7400 in gear, but when I went to shift at 7k it smashed the limiter HARD trying to take it from 7k to 4500, I guess when you put the clutch in it freaks out and assumes its in neutral

that is the stock neutral rev limiter set at 5.5k rpm.....

and there are only reflashes available as of now for the 06 si...and that video is old....so even if it has the hondata reflash...it doesnt change the neutral saftety rev limiter thingy...

QFT ....
5.5 k rev limit when the car is still ...
the only advantage of the reflash which is the only tune available for the Si is an 8600 rpm rev limit ... if u run with a race header u get an extra 30whp in the midrange but only about 2-5 in the top end ...

old video ... probably an old thread as well ... but at the time of this video the only mods available for the car were basic i/e/h which only get's u to about 200whp give or take a few ...

don't be surprised by the time ... as everyone knows the Si does spin the whole of 1st and much of 2nd in stock form ... the DR drastically improved his time as well has power shifting... that was about it ...but powershifting in this car sill not help u any so it counts for nothing.

sup fellas ...

I wish there was enough space to go around the water pit at our track.

^^ easy fix... get some hydrolics in the front and bouce over it... i swear there was a civic at my track when i went and it bounced over it since some idiot parked a golfcart on the side where you can go around it

but then again the civic ran like a 19.xx something
