WTF? Got a ghetto "Hyper-Blinker"

My left blinker blinks about twice as fast as the right one, which blinks at normal speed. The light on top of the speedo blinks twice as fast as well as the front blinker, I can see in the reflection of cars infront of me.

It happened once, and then stopped on it own, now its back and has been this way for about two days.

Any ideas?

Wire short FTL???

usually that meansone of yor bulbs is burningout.

in older cars, some days the relay just feels like being faster than others, but as far as I know, the cobalt is all electronic there. I am guessing the rear bulb might be loose or burningout

are all 4 working. front and back. normally it means a light is out. causing more power to go to the one that is not. making it blick twice as fast.

Time to replace your left blinker. That's how the car tells you "REPLACE ME!"

Do you have LED bulbs in your lights? Certain LED's will cause the lights to blink faster

So, its the left rear tail light thats not blinking, or lighting up when I brake, however when I have the parking lights on or at night, its illuminted, it just does get bright when I brake, or blink.

Isn't it all one bulb?

I actually think its loose cause if I hit it a couple of times it starts working for a minute then gives out.

If my bumper to bumper is still good, will the dealer fix it, or do I need to try to replace the bulb myself first.

Thanks,
Rich

just dig in there and change it yourself.
no need to waste yours and the dealerships time with something like that.

99% of the time a fast blinker will be the bulb out.

(1)It's one bulb with 2 filaments, I don't understand how so many people fail to get that, they've had this kind of bulb around for at least 15-20 years, it's amazing that so many people don't understand how they work.

(2)Just go to the local autopart store and pick up 2 new bulbs for less than $5 and learn how to change your own bulbs, why waste your time with the dealer that will likely charge you for it? If brake ROTORS are not a warranty part what makes you think light bulbs will be?
(rotors in caps because there is no reason they should wear within the cars warranty period, pads, yes, rotors no.)
