Ummm, push the rear defrost button. It should defrost the side mirrors too. Both my cars do it!

Your kidding. It must be a CHEVY SS/SC thing.
When I hit the rear defrost, it clears all the windows, adds 40bhp and gives me a knob- shine to boot.

On a serious note G5,

I'll try my mirrors in the morning (its been frosty out here lately eh?).
If I get results, I'll be sure to let you know.
I've heard through the grapevine though, that the Pontiac variant of this chassis, lacks several options that are standard on the Chevy.
Did you order the car with the radio antenae option?

Mike, REAR defrost button. Rear defrost should do it. It says in the manual and if i push the button, the rear window and mirrors defrost. (both cars say and do it!) The only vehicles i've seen with a mirror defrost button are trucks, (and some of the guys i work with thinks it heats up the engine faster. ) Then again, maybe your Ponty doesn't have it, but i thought it was standard on Cobalts/G5 Pursuits...

I don't know may be a new feature on the 07's...my car was covered in ice last week. My mirrors never defrosted and i turn the rear defroster on just about every day.

does that work on manual mirrors as well or just power mirrors. I have manual mirrors and i don't think it works. I usually press the rear defrost every morning now that its winter here to melt everything and haven't noticed anything. I would think that the manual mirrors wouldn't have this feature cuz there is no power wires running to them as far as i know. They are not needed unless they just ran them for the defrost

Mine (Pursuit 2006 sedan) does not have the mirrors defrost feature! I asked the dealer when I bought it and it wasn't available as an optional...

I just checked the specs for the 07 G5 and 07 Cobalt - the mirrors are not heated!

Mine certainly don't defrost. But then, I'm not really expecting so much out of a basic car such as mine. x.x
