Which Tires?

I'm wanting to get new tires. I'm curious what tires other people have used... and how they liked them! I think I will go with 225/45ZR18's. These are the ones I am looking to go with:

Yokohama AVS ES100 - $133ea - Treadwear is 280 (Stock Pirelli tread wear is rated at 220 (low!))

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW2 - $156ea - Treadwear is 300

Michelin Pilot Sport! - $222ea - Treadwear is 220

Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 - $245ea - Treadwear is 180

1) I voted ADVAN amazing piece of rubber.
2) KDW2 - cheap and very good performance
3) Personal choice Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's have them on my car and they are wicked. After break-in they outperform the stockers and most tires in every way.

BfGoodrich's. They're amazing. Plus they've been around forever. And unline most performance tires you'll get a lot of miles out of em.

I chose the Falken Ziex ZE-512s... Good dry traction, and they even drive well in the SNOW whatta' concept!!!! I got mine for $98.00 per tire!!

im in the same boat as you except i have it narrowed down on how much i want to drop

cheaper option would be to go with the KUMHO ECSTA SPT's for 95 a tire

or

FALKEN AZENIS RT-615 (200 tread wear tho)
^^
These tires will not dissapoint you from what i hear. Big WHP cars run them with NO traction problems at all. They are 159 a tire and look sick. (www.vulcantire.com) if your interested!

I say either the Goodyear eagle F1 GS D3 or the Falken Azenis RT-615.

I personally ran a bunch of 12.8's and 12.9's last year on the Falken RT-615's on my neon, nothing like running 12's on street tires, SSnipes SS even has teh vid of us racing in the racing section.

Toyo T1R! 280 treadwear, still a max performance tire, around $150 or less per tire, superb grip in all conditions, and they are lighter than most tires on the market. I'm running them now, and absolutely love them.

I heard about these... where to get cheap? I got all those prices off of Tire Rack. I'll search Tire Rack for Nitto's.

I'd go with 225/40 instead of 225/45. IMO it'll look and fit better. The stock sidewall is 3.8", the 225/45 sidewall is 4.0" and the 225/40 sidewall is 3.5". If you want you can use this website to check out different sizes and compare them. BTW is voted Yoko ADVANs, a friend had them on his WRX and loved them for everyday and track.

Well, out of all the testing it seems like these tires would be the choice. All perform best in dry. The BF Goodrich has the best grip for acceleration by just a little but sacrifices it for less wet traction.

Not in any special order:

Yokohama Advan Neova AD07
BF Goodrich G-Force T/M KD
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 (this tire is a steal for the price)
