ok so i have 42.5lb injectors and a 2.9in pulley but i cant install them because no one locally has hp tuners, and not a single shop within reasonable driving distance can tune this for me because none of them have hp tuners for the lsj engine. and i just i am not going to buy hp tuners because i have entirely to much money tied up into other projects right now and i can justify spending $650+ for one tune. i dont plan on modding my car beyond this point because its just my daily driver. i like the benefits of the stg3 pcm but i am not willing to pay $400 and disable my ac. if anyone locally has hp tuners that i am not aware of and is willing to help me out, im not looking for something for nothing here i will pay good money to get this tuned.

The guy just said he didn't want to buy HPT. Considering his planned mod's I don't see why he should reinvent the wheel.

Eh, I overlooked him saying that. My bad.

I only said to buy HP Tuners just for the fact that he's mad cause he can't find anyone with HP Tuners. And to be honest, if he can't find a reliable way to tune, I would cancel my other car projects.

my other car projects are actual projects, one is an s-10 with a blown northstar engine in it. and the other is a 91 lx notch drag car. not a front wheel drive fuel efficient daily driver. so to be honest who in there right mind would cancel 2 projects with a ton of money in them just to tune their car? an intelligent person would sell the pulley and injectors long before they would dump 2 projects with boat loads of cash into them. just to spend entirely to much money on hptuners and a wideband for one simple tune. if i was planning on running 60lb injectors and building the whole car up for 275-300hp i would buy hpt tuners becuase then it wold be necessary to dial the car in. all i am asking for in this thread is not for your opinion. but simply trying to find out if there is someone locally who could help me out with a tune. or knows of a shop i can go to for tuning. i know how to tune and i have tuned a few cars int he past with ls-1 edit and i am going to tune my blown northstar when the time comes. so the know how is not the problem i just have no way to upload it into the pcm

how about mail ordering the pcm, say to TAG.? that seems cheap, but the week down may be unlivable.

firestorm, i actually just got off the phone with tag racecraft and the inly tune the have availible is for a 2.8in pulley and 60lb injectors. so maybe i will go that route.

sethallen, one of my buddies had a cobalt ss and hp tuners and we tuned it for the 3.1in pulley i am currently running. then he got sent to iraq and sold the car with hp tuners to some kid in washington. he lived here in mass then went to basic and got stationed in washington sold the car there and is now in iraq. pretty shitty

i was also thinking about an intense tune but from what i have heard all they do is blow shit up.
