I am seeking one brave soul who is willing to attempt a tune on my car. It is a car that HpTuners refuses to support and it doesn't have the e16 ecu. I am looking for an agressive N/A tune for my (hang on here it comes) Lw200 autocross car. I have almost all the bolt ons that I can find except a throttle body. I am willing to travel within reason and I will gladly pay for time and liscences.

If HPT tuners won't support it why are you lookin for someone with HPT to tune your car?

Then it might just be a matter of pulling down the calibration and sending it and the VCMSuite info to HPTuners.

I hate the blanket No its not on the supported list even tho it shares a computer. anyway heres the scoup on my Puter its located right rear of engine bay and has 2 plugs a blue and a black the numbers are in order of location

bottom
12579662 yctz

serv. no. 12576162

this is everything I could find on the computer my local Chevy dealer told me this car can have the GM supercharger kit installed because the computer is the same as the same year cavi.

the reason I am looking for someone with HpTuners is because I am not willing to shovel out huge cash to find out it won't work that is why I want to buy a liscence from someone and give it a try

this is what it produced
12583750 12583763 N/A - Revised Production Calibration
12579662 12579673 N/A - Revised Production Calibration

it does not seem to match up with what you have

Why not get a stand alone?

3 reasons I am not even considering stand alone

1. this car is a Daily driver I can't afford to have it down for any period of time
2. stand alone systems can't drive the factory dash
3. if I can reprogram what I have it will be more reliable than any stand alone

I doubt theres a way around this other then getting support from hptuners, and frankly i'd rather see chris working on unlocking more options for us then working on some old boat. You could flash your os to a supported revision but that could make your car useless and not work with any number of sensors.

Dont fight the piggyback option, go check out the forums at turbosaturns.net piggybacks are what everyone has settled with.

Yah right like HPTuners is EVER going to offer a tune for my car that will NEVER happen because they are NOT going to bother with the Saturn L-series. I accept that my car will never have support in the after market I don't care the insureance will pay it off and replace it when the freight train smashes it.

YES I AM FRUSRATED!!!!!

mmmm k

if its a common pcm they can support it...just like they did when I asked about the saab 9-7x...just like they did with the 4.3 S-series trucks...just like they did with the H1 hummer alpha...etc.

But they need a file or at least an info log to get the ball rolling ;)

If you think it is a common pcm have someone with hpt try & read it.

that is what I'm trying to do in theis very thread and so far I have been told I should go stand alone or wait till hell freezes or HPT gets arround to it on their own. I want to be pro active in this but I'm not going to spend $650 to find out it can't be read. This is the reason I am looking to find someone with HPT that is willing to try it on my computer. Even if it doesn't work and the VCM can be read the attempt was successfull but untill someone steps up and says yah I'll sell you a liscence to try I am stuck.

I hope you understand my frustration after all I am trying to tune an orphan car that even Saturn doesn't want anymore. if only this computer were the same as the European versions I would have it tuned in a second (well a few hours anyway).

why not pm ws6FirebirdTA00 on the hptuners forum...he's a mod & beta tester for us & lives in NC...im sure if you come out to him he'll try to do a read for you.

Again if you think they use the same pcm's theres no reason they shouldnt be able to support it.

I'm glad its coming together for you now...I'm pretty well versed in what needs to be done to gain support & in your case you said it was the same pcm so its usually just a matter of getting them an infolog to get support ;)

Unfortunatly without one is near impossible to support some pcm's.

now all I need is the $$ to buy HPT and someone with a good safe turbo auto tune
