My New Sig

I've been working on this one for a while... probably 12 hours combined.

yay...nay...what do you think?

p.s. the original version is 6900x2013 pixles that come out to be about 23x7 inches.

well i have been working on it for like 2 weeks... an hour here and there... I dont have 12 hours straight to start and complete one fo these.

Yeah 12 hours... the ps document contains like 25 layers. it probably would have only been 8 hours if i was working on a MAC pro.

I will continue working on some variations, i already have several started.

What is it that bothers everyone?

Yeah 12 hours is a tad too long IMO but if you like it thats all that counts.

you have to make a gif everytime something changes. So if you want the car to move like left to right, each step right needs to be a new image. You have to save them all as gifs and then use a program like Ulead GIF animator to animate them

^^ no....

its simple. photoshop comes with an animation program called image ready. if something like that sig is taking you 12 hours then dont even bother with image ready yet. it's not as simple as "saving it as a gif" to animate an image either

not trying to be a dick by any means, but that should really only take you 20 minutes..... at the most. I'm a bit confused why you made it so big and why it has taken you such a long period of time. that is all.

well, why not? I took the pic with my 8 mp digital slr camera, so it came out to be like 10x8 with 300 ppi. why would i shrink the pic to 4 inch by 1 inch and squint the whole time i create it? I have the document saved with all the layers so i can go back in and make tweeks and possibly print it poster size for whatever reason.

I dont know if i mentioned it before but it consists of 24+ layers. I did not use any filters, just transparent layers working with different modes. I have made sutle changes to the original photo also: erased building in the background, motion blurred backround and increased grain. selecting the car and copying it to prepare for blur alone took 20 minuts.

i'll have to read up on htis image ready, i'm pretty sure i have it...
