I used Duplicolor's BlueCaliper painting kit that I purchased from autozone. Whole process took me about 4 hours for all four tires. I left it at about two coats of paint in the spirit of time constraint. (As I did the entire job right exactly where this car is parked)

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on the car now. Sorry I didn't run her through a wash, clean those tires, and spit shine her. We're do for freezing rain tomorrow and Id prefer not to waste the money when I'd just have to wash it again by the weekend.
(Pinstripe is Dealer installed, I made them take off charging me for that off the sticker price.)

looks good man. i thought i was going to get in to this thread and see some cobalt with a huge wing and big rims. at least 200 stickers. and a fart can. lol thank god i dident man i was even looking for lambos or somting. the car looks good. that thing will look nice lowerd and a set of rims and some tint on the windows

 

I do have a dead midget with a haircut that resembles a tacky spoiler strapped on the front bumper. But he gives me like 20hp...so I'm leavin him.

Now I'm confused. How does a Cobalt look like it's mixed with another Cobalt.

Those are the 17 inch chromies that come with the SS/NA. THanks for the compliment though. I'll take an extra inch wherever I can get it.

Small spoiler kills me though. Only regret I have purchasing that car, I shoulda had the dealer install a high profile.

Take off the pinstripe. pleeeeeeease. I recommend the canuck motorsports springs of of ebay to get rid of the wheel well gap they are the same springs zzperformance sells.

 

I was in the same boat as you, but after two people that live near me decided to buy Black LS coupes with the low pro wing . It makes mine stand out a little better. In good light when the car is cleaned you barely evn notice it until you're right on top of me. Just look at the rear of the car in the second picture. It kinda falls into the relfections and shine off the clearcoat.

Hmmm I just realized that I can see myself in the reflection of the first picture. Glad I was wearing pants this time.
Damn I look fat. Gonna chalk that one up to light distortion.

It looks like you did them well, but blue wouldn't be my first choice of color.

I am honestly not one for painting calipers but if I had to I'd paint them black or chrome them.

 

Not bad at all. Wouldn't have gone with blue but thats just me.

And yes its a 2.4 SS. LOL!

 

looks good, mine are also red.

 

I went with the high-pro spoiler....I just liked the looks of it better. Also, if you clear coat your calipers with a high temp clear coat, they won't look as flat (unless their just dirty in that pic)

Here's mine to give you an idea of the spoiler on a 2.4:






and what my calipers came out like:

 

I did the whole shoe.
They don't really look that flat. In fact they don't even start to stand out until you get close and then you're like
"Whoa....blue.....cool...."

I like that better than the red ones. Which you can spot from a block away.

 

Sure the blues ok, but the pinstripe nah.

 

As long as you like it, that's all that ever matters. Rice is a bullshit term...don't let it determine how you modify your car.

 

Looks good, but I am not a big fan of pinstripe.
