2.8 Pulley Finally Installed!!!!!!!

Finally got my 2.8 pulley installed thursday and man o man was that a big pain in the ass!!! Altho my car is ALOT faster now with the 2.8 pulley and I saw 20 pounds of boost last night, it was awsome. The biggest part of it that sucked was getting those shitty GM bolts loose, kept snapping the special tool, good thing my buddy is a gm tech that had about 5 extras! No problems what so ever running the 2.8 pulley with the stage 2 injectors so I do recomend the 2.8 pulley for anyone with the Stage 2 kit.

I would listen to them. 2.8 is too small for the stage 2 injectors. If you hang around the top rpm range too long you may end up in trouble.

I take it you probably have the same setup on yours??? Im pretty sure I will be fine too, I think people worry too much about little things like that. 50% of people agree with me and 50% dont. I will take the extra horsepower and worry about something breaking when it happens in which case will be covered under warranty because I had my stage 2 kit installed by a gm dealership for half the price, pays to know people!

When you get major warranty work done the dealership doesnt approve your warranty work.... They get a outside claims adjuster to come asses the damage. But its your car do what you please

Yep same setup since June. A good idea would be to get an HPTune though. It make things work much smoother.

Nobody has ever said something has gone wrong with this setup to this point. The blown piston issues have all come from 60# injector combo's (someone correct me if I am wrong)

Maybe thats how they do things in california, but not here in Illinois. Besides what are they going to do, take my pulley off to measure it??? Please. I know 4 mechanics at 4 different Chevrolet dealerships and they will all approve my warranty work.

Your an idiot! If you change pulleys and dont even tune your **** then you need a wideband...... Ask one of your dealer techs to explain this to you

60# injectors is the way to go..... The AFR should be good around 11.4-11.8. You dont want to see 12's or 10's on the wideband. You should be safe.

THE 2.8 IS FINE ON THOSE INJECTORS, ITS HIS BOOST LEVELS THAT IS THE ISSUE FOR **** SACKS

he needs exhaust work to lower to boost down to like 17.... the car could handle a 2.4" pulley on the 42's if the boost was limited to 17 psi.

this idea needs TO DIE

"im running a 2.9 the 2.8 and its .8 psi isnt safe, but i am, cause i only run 98% duty cycle then" SHUT THE R$%$%#$#$#$% UPPPPPP

Not to be a dick to you cuz your cool but how is he going to lower the boost when he doesnt have hpTuners? I had all exhaust mods and mine still read 118% at 6900 RPM's....
