Does the dealer still require removal of the SC? What is the approximate installation price?

The supercharger must be removed to get the stock pulley off. The stock pulley is pressed on. Stage 2 and beyond pulleys are bolted on so it is not that big of a deal to remove them. Just make sure they give you the tools back that come with the stage 2 kit. You can only get them with that kit and if you lose them, you can't take the pulley off in the future.

I got GMS2 installed today for $191, thats after I finessed them down from $450. They tried to play me, telling me it was gunna be a 4-5 hour install. I told them their PARTEC hotline quotes an hour and a half, but i was willing to settle with 2-2.5 as long as they get the job done right. I said if they couldnt do it for under 2.5 hours then dont touch my car, I'll take it somewhere else. Thankfully the mechanic has done the install before and told me he could do it in 2.

The drive around town afterwards was surprising. I could definitely tell a difference in power, obviously not the fastest car around but a lot more juice than stock, which is plenty good for me. thank you all for your help.

Haha, i do plan on GMPP header/exhaust, and maybe a slightly smaller pully. but im all about that warranty, i come from having a 93' jeep grand cherokee laredo for 5 years. trust me, this is "plenty good for me" but as soon as that warranty is up, i may change my mind :P

to address the original post, yes, it is actually easier to pull the blower off to press the old pulley off and install the new hub outside of the engine bay.

im getting mine done thursday. they told me 2 hours alone to change injectors? and 4 hours total install. i called bs and said they say 1.5 hours. Get to talk to the service manager tommorow. see where this gets me. if its not done in 2.0 hours im going elsewhere.

hey man, work with these guys a little bit. if the person doing the install isnt familiar with the stage kits than he may be needing more time. Get a quote in writing saying that you will pay for 2 or up to 2.5 hours labor that you and the service manager can agree upon and sign it. That way if it does take longer you wont suffer in the wallet.

the guy who did my stage II install was my dealers master GM tech. It took him a little over 2 hours to do it and he has never done it before. I also hung out with him in the back shop and watched the whole thing transpire so i know there was no monkey business and the service time didn't get fooled around with.

What is the PARTEC hotline? It is what tells the dealers labor and installation info for GMPPs? If so, what's the number? A few dealers have told me it'll take a good part of a day.:thumbsdow

I don't know the # off the top of my head but yea basically. If they told you it will take a good part of the day then tell them if they cant do the required amount of time for isntall or at least within 2.5 hours, then you'll take it to another dealer. try to find a stealership that has done the install before, it will make things a lot easier and cheaper with less worries of being the "ginnie pig".

a lot of times, the reason install takes so long is because the dealer doesnt have the right tool to press on the new hub. the tool required is actually a water pump pulley installer for cadillac engines, 4.6 and 4.0 northstar motors i think. where i work only 2 people really mess with the stage kits, and we ended up ordering the tool to put the new hub on. like everyone is saying though, if you're paying for over 2 hours then go somewhere else. i think we charge about 2. i know it isnt any more. i think i did mine in about 20 minutes, and then it took 20 more just to program it due to technical assistance being a bunch of retards.

i was the first one at the dealership to get it done. It took four hours and cost 335. I dont care tho. Im more than pleased with it. GM S2 with the S3 pulley. LOVING IT!

Ok i have a question went to my dealer today and asked for an estimate on stage 2 install well they did not do one yet but they are going to work with me on the price. The cost will be arond 500 buck but that is for the following:

1. stage 2 completely installed with reflashed
2. tranny bushings from ttr
3. motor mount from ttr
4. And a supercharger intake gasket ($50.00)

But they told me that if it takes less time then they will not charge me as much so did anyone else have to buy another intake gasket that goes under the supercharger where it connects with the engine?

Anyone out there that can help me please i need some answers lol

Am i gunna have to make a new thread lol come on i have one simple question some please answer i am in dyer need of an answer lol

my tranny bushings came in a billet housing, just literally took the old set out and bolted the new ones up, didnt have to worry about getting bushings in and out, also on the ttr mounts if you look thru my posts it should be posted as to what i tqed them down to, as i dont remember off the top of my head, ill look when i have more time after work than my lunch break that im on right now
