View Full Version : Where did you buy your car?
Spectral 02-12-2007, 06:09 PM So what dealer did you go through?
So far i havent delt with any one good.
Im going to Good Chevrolet in Renton today to check out the ss s/c and test drive it
and im gonna see how the ppl are there
but i went to jet earlier and i said i wanted a ss s/c and he tried to throw me to an SS N/A and an SRT 4. and kept pressuring me.
so i dont like them now lol. not to mention he lied and said he had an ss s/c when he didnt.
and then brett chevy told me it would cost about 26g to get a new one and about the same for a used...so good bye to them haha.
so i was just wonderin where you got yours and if you had a good experience with them and maybe even the sales persons name if you can remeber it or have there card.
:D

turbotaylor 02-13-2007, 02:59 AM was it a red one you looked at? If it is I have been looking at that one lol. I'm looking to buy in a couple months too. Did they have 2 red ones?
Spectral 02-13-2007, 03:19 AM yeah it was red and they had 2 red with a high wing and then a blue and a yellow with the low wing.
turbotaylor 02-13-2007, 03:27 AM how much were they asking for them? or what kind of pricing did you get just wondering? I couldent get them to much lower.
Spectral 02-13-2007, 03:30 AM i didnt talk about pricing cuz i wont be able to do it for atleast 6 months. but he said 20,900 for the one i test drove. when i buy mine if they cant get the payments under 400 or a little over that if they cant i wont get it. lol im gonna get my way one way or another. :guns:
turbotaylor 02-13-2007, 03:33 AM Are you looking at used ones or new ones? cuz when i went there i was looking at one that was of the internet and it was like $18,500ish. I say we go in together if there is 2 of them there in 6 months or so and see if we can get a deal lol:twothumbs
Spectral 02-13-2007, 03:36 AM lol sounds good to me...ill do whatever i can to talk sales ppl down lol....im a sales person i know how it works lol.
Master Chief 02-13-2007, 10:13 AM lol better than what i did
I wanted an 06 SS/SC W/ g85 with laser blue and blue inserts but they couldn't find one
so i had a choice settle for an 07 laser blue and black inserts or wait 2 and a half months while mine is made at the lordstown plant lol so naturally i settled for the non waiting method. Im not sure if i really needed the g85 package i mean the recaros would have been nice but i have heated leather right now lol and i don't have the lsd and it didn't really break lose on the snow or on the grass and driveway
But tell me why i bought it without looking at it. never do that. They called me 2 days later so i can pick it up from them Friendly Cheverlot in Puyallup and i went to do it it was the first day of that big rain storm back in December lol couldn't even see if anything was wrong with the car took it home and bam dried it off and i found a scratch from a buffer by the wing i took it back in and they rebuffed it and it is still there but they gave me some GM Glass Cleaner, A Cobalt SS Licesnce plate frame, and a $50 off coupon for parts and labor at that dealership and im in auto collision so i can repaint it if it really bothered me. probebly the best service i ever got from a dealership his name was David Loveland
Still calls me up about every two weeks to see hows it going and to see if i have any questions about it. now i know why they call it Friendly Cheverlet

if chevy has a 0% sometime here i might buy a new one and play the waiting game for it.
but well see.

i hopin i can get somethin like that at like the end of summer. and then i can just order a new one :)
Master Chief 02-14-2007, 10:05 AM i don't know i know the costco auto program is whenever you have a costco card but as for the gm red tag or u know rebates from GM im starting to think it only happens near september to make room for the new models
Blue_ghost 02-14-2007, 11:44 AM I was really happy with Willsonville Chevy (Willsonville,OR). Salesman I dealt with is Ron - very, low key sales guy. He was able to find the exact SS/Sc we wanted.

yeah i think im gonna have to wait for september october or november. that way they are kinda slow and need to sell some cars and they need to get rid of 07s for the new 08s. so well see :)
SwizzDSMSS 02-14-2007, 09:09 PM 21.7k out the door.
Spectral 02-14-2007, 09:24 PM 21.7k out the door.
was that brand new?
what options did it have??
SwizzDSMSS 02-14-2007, 10:05 PM yeah brand new all option except heated leather, no g85.
Spectral 02-14-2007, 11:19 PM Yeah i want g85 so mine will be more unless its used.
SwizzDSMSS 02-15-2007, 05:01 PM Well I got mine before G85 was an option.
Spectral 02-15-2007, 05:08 PM oooh ic i want LSD....some people say they cant feel the difference....some people can....i could in the one i test drove so i like it.
06' SS2SS 02-16-2007, 03:46 AM LSD is GOOD! Oh, I mean, I like it in the corners.
Master Chief 02-16-2007, 10:09 AM wish i could have gotten lsd now its gonna cost about $2000 - $3000 to install it after factory
Spectral 02-20-2007, 02:15 AM well i went to a couple other dealers..Gilchrist in tacoma told me 26k out the door.
friendly chevy told me 30k. lmao.
so im probably lookin at 24k out the door if i can talk them down.
but im hoping to get it on a sale so.
SwizzDSMSS 02-20-2007, 11:44 PM wow that sounds like a joke. I guess they are hard to come by in the NW so they are that pricey.
aja342 02-21-2007, 12:00 AM I could show you guys my swindow sticker from bruce-tidus in tacoma for a good laugh....$2000 north west market adjustment brought the asking price up to 31K+
Spectral 02-23-2007, 06:18 AM gilchrist is still bein most helpful to me....i can call to ask him a question and he will answer me..with out soundin like im some annoying pest.

Just thought I'd give you the heads up.
Gilchrist will be very helpfull with you untill the time comes to actualy buy the car. The sales manager will keep pushing cars he has on the lot reguardless of what you want (he knows what you need...and he just happens to have it on the lot). I was looking for an HHR for my wife and we went to gilchrist to see what that they could do. The sales represenatives were will ing to work with us but we wanted a 2.4L Auto and they did not have one. I asked if we could order one and was told that it would be no problem. I gave them my information and we started picking out options. About half and HR later the salesman came back with an "offer" from the sales manager. if was for the 2.2l 5 speed that they had on the lot..I asked what about ordering and was told that they would not beable to do that....that is when I herd that they ran my credit for the HHR that was there and I was approved.....but some how only for that one... I was extreamly pissed and after gathering my paper work back and makeing sure the sales manager know what I thought about him I left a nice set of 400hp black stripes out of the parking lot and down south tacoma way right in front of the dealer.
If they have what you want then great...if they don't I bet they try to sell you a Malibu MAXX SS that was left over from '06.
Coblt ss super 03-14-2007, 10:41 AM Arroway Chevrolet and Saab, Katonah New York, best place you could go to. i got gms pricing with them, the guy i dealt with is awsome, the mechanics and service depts are the best also help me with everything and they also gave me free gm sport pedals for being the best like customer.
aja342 03-14-2007, 11:05 AM Wow another Lost guy.
h0l0caust 03-14-2007, 11:26 AM Mine is a lease take over. got it trough leasebuster.com and Hamel Pontiac GMC in montreal/st-leonard.

onstar.

i also benefits of the employee discount the previous owner had since he work there as the bodyshop director.
the car is mint!
06' SS2SS 03-14-2007, 03:02 PM If you go to Sunset in Sumner you can get free oil changes. You go to a workshop/pancake breakfast on a Saturday morning about maintaining your car and they give you a card to get free oil changes. At around $80 a change, it adds up.
aja342 03-14-2007, 04:28 PM Parkland Chevrolet In Parkland is the best dealership in the area. They will find the car you want even if it is not on the lot, free oil changes for as long as you own the car (ROCKS!!), and have a performance center.
06_SS_S/C 03-14-2007, 06:01 PM Got mine at Good...it was a pretty good experience, not too much pressure, pretty much got exactly what I wanted. Sales guy even stole some floot mats out of a brand new SS/SC to give to me! Haha, I thought it was pretty funny.
But I live like 2 minutes from Parkland Chevrolet, I will probably go there for most of my service and performance stuff.
