Whats up guys I just had this -12 hose fitting welded to my valve cover. I noticed that the old hole has a small tube running to the other side, even though it appears to be all interconnected. Do you think it would be safe to plug it? Also, will this new fitting allow too much air out of the valve cover or should I just put a hose and filter on it? Some expert advice would be nice:twothumbs

Personaly, id throw a filter on it. No sense in dirt and crap getting in there.
as for the small hole to appear to be a straight through design, try to blow..
Put your finger on 1 side....and blow on the other....if it feels like the air isnt goin somewhere else, id try to temp plug it with something...so if it doesnt run right...can remove it.

Thanks,
you don't think larger opening will cause any problems w/ boost do you?

This is what it said in the build book. "Since high RRM operation requires that the crankcase has more breathing capability, a breather provision has been added to the cylinder head cover. We recommended that at least a –12 AN breather line be used for highly boosted applications."

I did this blocked off the old fiting welded a new -12an with a 3/4" barb into a moroso no recirculation catch can with a breather filter on it, and blocked the fitting on the intake tube to help relieve pressure but it was to late ringland is already gone
