Sexy Wideband

I figured since I paid more than enough for it, I might as well show off my new Autometer C2 Series Wideband Air/Fuel gauge. It's sexy. I mounted it the instrument panel pod that I fabricated.

After we installed it last night, he mentioned that he found an autodim feature on it after he left, so yes, it can be dimmed.

Thanks for the compliments.

As Witt said, it has an autodim feature so it dims itself. It was distracting until I set that feature up. Has a lot of other features as well: peak recall, alarm, bar graph display precision, 0-4v output, sensor warm-up on start (pretty cool... counts down from 20 while it does this).

It's an Autometer gauge, so you can get it from any distributor that sells Autometer products. Summit Racing has them. I bought this one from an eBay vendor I've dealt with before. Same price as Summit: $379.99

It's a wideband air/fuel ratio gauge. Reads an O2 sensor in the exhaust stream and displays the ratio based upon the sensor output. This is a wideband setup (as opposed to a narrowband which is what comes stock in most cars). The wideband sensor reads with more precision, so it is able to output an exact ratio. Narrowband does not give you an actual ratio.... just an indication of rich/stoich/lean.

It's useful for tuning.

I made it. It's not true carbon fiber. The carbon fiber look is from a vinyl decal roll that I used to wrap the bezel when I was finished molding the pod.

The redline needed "ROFLOMG driver mod stage 3" for snow so it couldn't make it that night.

damn that's expensive... my innovate LC1 + xd16 gauge was only $264 from eBay. and the xd16's even more pimp cuz you can change the color of the LEDs
goes to prove - add blue LEDs and you can charge much more for your product
