Fujita intake question (yes i searched!)

Hey guys, just bought a new fujita intake for my SC (229.99 shipped new) and i want to put a hydroshiel on the filter. I cant find any info on the filter size of the fujita and what the closest size injen hydroshield would be. any help is appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the Fujita has a hydroshield you can purcahse. The injen hydroshield may work but I'm not 100% sure. I know those things stretch alot. Good luck man, bump for you...

i dont see why it wouldnt as long from the picture they look about the same size. but with fujita it has a unique filter with the hole in the bottom.

i'm not too worried about that hole in the bottom of the filter, i know with the hydroshield i might lose maybe the most minuscule amount of power. Living in the northeast US we get alot of rain so my major concern is hydro locking my motor.

when i had my cavalier, i had the AEM cai with the filter in the lower fender and everytime it rained the filter would get wet and the car would bog and would scare me to drive it in the rain.

I thought the same thing. I've had my car snce spring 06 and did not put the hydroshield on. The plastic under the car helps shield water from entering the intake. If a little water does go in the supercharger heat dissipates the water very quickly. Either way, a hydroshield should not hurt performance to much. Maybe a horse or two. Important part is you know your safe with it on...kinda like a stranger of the female gender that you take home from a party. Its best to wrap it!

your car will be fine without one. I have a fujita intake and not a problem. THe wheel well on the bottom covers it so nothing can get in there. also there probably isnt any room for one cause the whole intake is pretty big. My car is lowered and i used to rub on the pipe. As far as a sheild you dont need one

Yeah, it is! My jaw dropped when I saw that price! It's usually like $100 more!
