AEM Wideband trouble?

I just installed my AEM wideband gauge today and took it out for a try and the gauge display bounces all around wildly when I'm cruising and idling. It can be anywhere from 14.5-17.0 but it moves so rapidly its hard to get an idea of what it is! Under WOT though, it's much more steady and goes down to 11.8 or so but I didn't go to redline because of traffic. Is this gauge supposed to move around so rapidly under idle and cruise? What the hell am I missing here?!

Yeah, I have the same gauge. It's normal. It really freaked me out at first too. No worries.
