How many of you cobalt owners have had there cobalts vandalized. what was the damage and $cost$ of fixing it?

 

My wife had her's vandalized by mother nature....wind caught the driver's door and slammed it into a square pole that holds up our covered parking...crease about 2 inches down from the top of the window to for about 16-18 inches or so...

Cost: $450 getting it done for $350 though (family friend)

 

Ouch. i have had the wind yank my car door out of my hand. i have to slam it shut to get it to close. when i open the door i can feel the door drop a bit. sux totally!

 

get ur lazy butt out and give it a nice inspection and fix it

 

had my sedan keyed by a jelious/mad/EX friend. about 2 feet long across gas cap onto rear bumper. was i think 900 to fix i said **** no and jsut went to walmart and got touchup paint. works fine for now.

 

smashed window.....$200CDN deductable...

 

I had my balt keyed down the driver's side, and across the hood. Cost $1200 to fix it.

 

Damn, that sucks! Who keys cars though? I would kill someone even if it wasn't my car...thats just plain wrong.

 

Yeah, I get nervous everytime I hear metal around my house. I have the nicest car in the neighborhood.

 

You got ripped off. GM touch up paint would have cost 1/24 as much. Unless it was really bad.

Some punk kids paintballed my balt back on halloween....

Fortunatly it just wipped off!

 

My best friend paintballed his old '88 Cavy RS for ***** and giggles...left it on there a little too long and it left spots where the ***** were. Light blue with lighter blue splats all over it.

 

hood vndalized, estimate to get it fixed $654 and my price to replace it $200

 

damn... I know if my hood got keyed... it'd be time for a CF hood...

 

ive never had any of my cars fuckd with...... maybe none of you are over 6ft? so intimidation? haha sorry for your loss though....

 

someone scratched my driver's door and continued to the rear quarter panel. autopac's estimate $1180. just paid the $200 deductible

 

other than the occasional stolen stereo (i'll never buy an expensive one again), i haven't had anything vandalized since high school. some retard going around bending peoples' antennas (but I took mine off so I don't have to worry about that) and keying their doors. i worry about it every single day tho. I stayed last weekend in this ghetto town called Wendover, UT and I woke up at midnight just to make sure my car was still in the motel parking lot--even the cops seemed crooked there. :P (they'd speed trap people 1 block before the UT/NV state line and like 5 cars would pull up just to give people speeding tickets. good thing I watch my speedo like a hawk. anyway, yeah that's some ghetto high school crap, makes me furious when people do things like that, but i'm constantly worried about it (until i buy a house with a garage, that is) CARPORTS FTL-I had my Integra GSR stolen from a carport.

 

I havnt had my car Vandalized per say, but I did come out to find my hood crunched up like an accordian, and my headlights were busted, my front grill was...non existent.

My Intake at the time was punctured, my front window was shattered, and alot of red paint (from the vehicle who hit me) everywhere...and a little piece of paper that says "IOU"...

Good thing I heard from someone they know who did it, because they were bragging about it.

The kid got arrested/beat up.

It didnt cost me anything in the end, but i did pay the $250 deductible, but when we sued the kids parents, i got my money back...and then the standard "Loss of wages".....even though I had vacation time saved up for such an occasion, but total amount of damage was $7,800

 

About two weeks after i got my car, I parked in the wrong spot and came back to a complete key job. lets jus say only paint still orifinal is back bumper and roof. oh and i got drilled with twenty three eggs. Just because the key job wasnt enough. motherfckrs. Cost for paint, aprox, 3500.00 Cdn

 

just have to keep in mind "what comes around goes around". still kids have no respected! but wait a mintue, its ok for them but it ll be hell on earth if you did something to there car! man some f'ed up crap!

 

had my rear bowtie pried off half of the way. they managed to dig into the trunk though. cops found the kids, called me and asked how much damages cost. had my boss's good friend right up and estimate for me for 760$. got it all back! 4 highschool kids had to split up the cost! i bought some touch up paint for 10$ and bought a badge off of biohazard for 7$ i think. brand new!
