have you ever tried to pull the bulb out of the fog lights on an SS? it's kind of a pain in the ass! it was a lot easier to as here and get a reply in 2 seconds than mess around crawling under the car in 30 degree weather.

Have you tried pulling the bulb through the headlight? It takes 2 min to remove the headlight and the support.

Hadn't thought about that route... but it might just work.

have you ever though about how ****** stupid it is for people to come in here and make ignorant comments when someone asks for help? especially when they are the first ones on here begging for help.

I really hope you guys aren't talking about my post! It was meant in no way to be ingnorant and rude! I would have posted his question and was actually looking for the answer when I came to this thread!

I apologize If I came off as rude and ignorant! It was not meant to be that way at all!

I was just thinking about an easier way to change the bulbs and thought maybe the headlight way would work and was actually trying to ask a question. "have you guys thought about going that way to change the bulbs?" Should be easier than going underneath the bumper.

Again, I'm sorry. I apologize!

dude i wasn't directing this towards you. and FYI you pretty much have to take the front end apart to get the lights out so it's pretty much 6 to one half a dozen to the other.

the person i was posting that to erased their post

Was follwing this thread, hoping you guys can help with a dilemma. My 2005 Balt LS 5-speed coupe did not come with factory fog lights. Not only are they useful in bad weather, but it definitely dresses up my plain looking front end. Hubby ordered the kit from local dealer. It came with the plastic bumper inserts, and the lights, but no brackets. There are no tabs on the bumper inserts to screw the light to it, and they're too heavy for the plastic to support anyway. Calls to Chevy dealers in a 50 mile radius failed in finding bracket info, so here we sit with fog lights we can't mount. The SS has everything molded into the bumper, but I see other LS and LT models with the bumper insert fog light set-up, so how are they mounted? Can someone with this style fog light pop out their insert to see how the light is mounted, and reply? As mentioned before, you can pop out the headlight to peek from above, too. Any help is appreciated.

The LS' and LT's that came with the fog lights had different bumpers to accomodate them. The bumpers look the same, but they are different in the fact that they have fog light brackets molded into them, you may be SOL

Thanx. It would have been great if the parts guys had told us that when we ordered the lights! We can always check bone yards for a bumper.
